Night time view of George's Pier Head, Liverpool. Photo taken from the steps of the Museum of Liverpool - recently opened up after 7 years since the opening of the museum itself to the public !

As I promised to reveal, here's what was causing all that beautiful coloured light to fall on London's Marsham Street - The coloured glass roofline feature on top of The Home Office.
As you can see, Marsham Street looks decidedly drab most of the year, but scroll down this page to Comments to see what the beautiful effects of this coloured glass canopy in the sunshine...
I've been trying to get this shot for almost five months!. The weather in London's been pretty dull and cloudy for months, so whenever I did have a chance to nip up to Marsham Street outside the Home Office building, there was either no sunlight, or it was too late/early for the coloured light to be hitting the road.
Anyway... as you can see, I finally nailed the sucker! Hah!

Stumbled across this shot of the Paris Metro amongst my photos from Paris and thought I might be able to make it a bit more interesting with some processing. I fiddled with colours and contrast and added some vignetting to give it a more creepy feel.
Bonus points to anyone who can identify the station, because it's the only photo I have from Paris that I can't geotag!

Coloured lights are my favourite things
They shine with brightness true
They light the nights
and flash their colours
the way that bright lights do.

Tonight the Flickrites were out in force... We went to Liverpool Cathedral for a Twlight Tour of the tower. Amazing views in all directions and the weather was kind to us.
This is the view along Hope Street towards the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Families, residents and visitors can now walk, hike, bike or jog safely along the new Pioneer cycling and pedestrian overpass in Surrey. The new structure crosses Highway 99 at Winter Crescent and is illuminated by multi-coloured lights at night. The overpass is a result of a partnership between the federal and provincial government and the City of Surrey.

A couple of photos from the "Luminaire" event at Chatsworth House, that saw the house and gardens lit up with coloured lighting and projections for a couple of autumnal nights.
Quite thankful I managed to get a few good photos - we could only manage the sunday evening, and the forecast was lousy, with rain and very high winds - luckily it held off while we were there!
The sculpture in the foreground is "Ivy" by MANOLO VALDÉS, part of the Sotherby's "Beyond Limits" exhibition at chatsworth, which finished this weekend but the artworks haven't yet been removed.
