La Charité-sur-Loire, known simply as La Charité until 1961, is a riverside commune in the western part of the French department of Nièvre. It is located on the departmental border with Cher, which is also the regional border with Centre-Val de Loire

I cant think of anything that has such a varied display of shape, texture and colour than the world of plants and flowers, trees and shrubs. This is a May picture taken in Greenwich Park and has all of those attributes.

Apart from the Acer in the bottom left hand corner, I can't name any of the items paraded but am happy to marvel at the superb

blending of colour provided by nature.

Sometimes I like to change the colours :-)

The Aurora on our last night in Iceland. On our way to the Jökulsárlón ice lake from Stokksnes we made a sharp stop when this appeared, it was the start of a fantastic show. I've posted a similar image before but this is without the van in.

During May I think I will feature a few of the projects I am busy with at the moment.

Most of these projects are on-going. All of these pics/images are recent.

The themes range from Abstractions and Minimals.........to experimental stuff like the "Outside the Tomato Factory" and a series of Mono's continuing the "Light eating Objects" theme.

I have decided to incorporate these pics in Borders.....knowing this will "piss some people off".........but it will amuse me.

On the 11th/12th May I will be spending a night on top of Teide ("My beautiful Mountain") so later this month there will also be some images of that visit.

Best viewed individually.

Hope you like them.

After a few attempts at visiting this spot a few minutes down the road from where we were staying, some colour finally happened!

Back in the archives again due to the weather conditions at weekend not suiting sunset photography!

This image was taken of the East Winner Sandbank, Hayling Island almost a year ago showing the afterglow colours reflecting in the pools of water left by the previous tide. When the conditions are right this location can provide some interesting compositions!

To visit this location you need to get your timing right to ensure you do not get cut off by the next tide coming in behind you!!!
