The sun is growing weak. Light flees, colour draining

in the half light. The bog waits ahead, to the darkening east.

The Bridge....

Saturday Karen and I made our way to the south end of Heart Lake Conservation Area; The fall is a fickle time. some years the leaves changing colours are okay and others they don't change much at all. some years they last for a long time others a sudden storm and strong winds and its all over.

This is probably the last weekend for shooting fall colours in southern Ontario, the colour display is off the charts, so may varied shades of red, yellow and burnt orange.

this shot is of the bridge in the middle of the park, it is showing signs of its age and will probably be replaced with a much better newer one, but i do love the old worn out version.

Thank you for visiting for marking my photo as a favourite and for the kind comments,

A new plant I bought at the weekend, the name of which I do not know. It has loads of little pink flowers. I upturned a red/orangey table on the terrace and used that as a background

This is the colour version of an .earlier upload. Normally, I never upload colour and monochrome versions of the same shot. I believe one should make a decision and stick to it, However, in this case someone specifically asked if there was a colour version, and that's why I've uploaded this shot. You can see a different angle over on this page on 500px, and the B/W of this specific pic right here on Flickr.

** Another autumn scene from New England I have posted quite a lot but I could not bare to delete any of them it was after all a once in a lifetime experience . Taken on Chocorau lake in New Hampshire in 2017

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM. I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .

The Stanley Park rose garden is still lush with hundreds of gorgeous blooms - so nice to walk among the beds and enjoy summer's end.

This is the colours of the flowers

there is no alteration of the colour via Photo Shop etc

We all need a little splash of colour every now and then.

Pretty cool to watch!

Colour version of the shot posted the other day. This is a false colour infra red image of the towers of St Mary's Church, Reculver, Kent.

As promised, more fog. Yes, it is a colour photograph ... sometimes Mother Nature/Keefer Lake offers a different colour palette through the artful use of morning fog. My long-time contacts will know my penchant for scenes that are 'almost' black and white (I have an album dedicated to them ... www.flickr.com/photos/canadapt/albums/72157648156813174 )

I am not a fan of selective colour though - usually).

If you like the 'Chicago Transit Authority' (and I do and you should too) have a listen to this ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWkXmx-0phc The music goes suprisingly well with the photo IMHO. :)

The 15 stops of dynamic range of the Sony A7 III was particularly useful here ... although there is a bit of banding in the Flickr image above there is none whatsoever in the original image that I uploaded. (Flickr messes with the compression somehow?)

Every year first weekend of December there is a firework show for the celebration of Advent. It is a must see show in Uppsala. This time I decided to photograph it, as I have never tried firework photography before.

I came to the place in advance, to get a good spot and what a spot I got!

So I come and see there is a lady in good composition spot with equipment to record this event for television. I expected to be kicked out of the spot, but she acted really nicely and agreed to share the spot together. What a luck!

So we prepared for the show, people gathered all around us, usually kicking tripod legs, so re-composition was a fun way to spend time :)

The show started and it was simply amazing, a lot of different kinds of fireworks, light show and of course the wining song of Eurovision (traditional for this event):

swedish "HEROES" :)

It is advent, so I made 20 stunning pictures of fireworks and I will upload one everyday till Christmas, except Sundays, as it is resting day ;)

White noise is sometimes very colourful. Some days, that's all I see.

(Quelle: Wikipedia)

Candidplatz is a station on the U1 line of the Munich Underground. The station opened on Sept. 8, 1997. The square above it is named after the painter and sculptor Pieter de Witte, known as Peter Candid, who in the 16th century was active in and around Munich.

The platform area is covered in rainbow colours, which merge into each other and dissolve the dominant structural longitudinal lines. The extension concept and the colour scheme were designed by Paul Kramer and Sabine Koschier (U-Bahn department) and the execution design by Egon Konrad, Munich. (Source: Wikipedia)

Yes, it's in colour.

I have been absent from Flickr for a time - computer problems - 'nuff said. I shall endeavour to catch up with all of your fine photography that I have missed ... forgive me if I don't have time to comment on your work.

Autumn has arrived at Keefer Lake ... cold nights and warm days make for morning fog. Eventually the sun burned up all the morning mist and we enjoyed a warm, bright blue sky day!

Taken last May whilst out on my daily exercise. I love spring/early summer when all the foliage is vibrant and fresh. This particular treeline is always a kaleidoscope of colour.
