Selective colour photography (or color in American) is a process of photo manipulation in which a photographer will convert a photograph from colour to black & white yet leaving an "accent" or partial colour in a defined area of the image

During my sad moments I think it’s the end of the world, I think the end of the day will never come. But when I think of you, you color my world. ~Weds Kenya
I love the hyacinth not only because of its beautiful colours, but because it fills the house with a lovely scent. It's my favourite harbinger of spring among the daffodils, crocuses, tulips.. No. 4 in the Colours of Spring series.
I couldn't decide whether I liked the B&W or the colour version better so i posted them both. Any thoughts?
Spotted at Centraal station Utrecht, the big train station in Utrecht.
Utrecht Centraal is the central railway station for the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands. It is the largest and busiest railway station in the Netherlands, with fourteen platforms (of which eleven are through tracks) and with more than 285,000 passengers per day. With Utrecht being located centrally in the Netherlands, Utrecht Centraal is also the most important railway hub of the country with more than 900 trains leaving this station per day, making it the largest junction station in the Netherlands. Therefore, disruptions at the station can easily affect the rest of the country's railway network.
Utrecht Centraal railway station:
International, national and local services call at the station, most notably the InterCityExpress trains to Frankfurt and Basel, intercity services to the northern and southern Netherlands, and local commuter services providing access to towns all over the Randstad.

For "Macro Mondays" theme of "pair"
This started off as a quick photograph on the basis of 'I wonder what would happen if'!
Having taken it and posted it during this week the intention was to develop the idea, but the more I looked at the basic simplicity and shading of colour, the more I liked this result. To me, the composition seems interesting enough with just a slight tension.
So best not to mess I concluded, and it's gone into MM.
A very simple arrangement of two small bottles on a sheet of A4 paper and lit with a single LCD table lamp.
Colour balance 'in camera'.

Sunset at Saltcoats Harbour.
I had been out for around an hour before this at another location nearby although I packed up and left shortly after the sun had went down (what a mistake that would turn out to be). Whilst driving home I noticed the sky had went a brilliant red colour so i quickly made my way to the best spot i could think of close by; the harbour.
I possibly even missed the best of the light but the colour was still outstanding and i managed to quickly set up and get a few snaps before it disappeared.
The exposure made the people fishing a the tower blurry but i quite like having them there.
Mucking about photographing utensils on my iPad.
This spad is inflecting an image on my ipsoon. Oops sorry, spoonerism ;)
This spoon is reflecting a fractal image I generated in a fractal program.
Happy new week out there everyone.
