Santa Cruz de Tenerife metro station concourse

From autumn gold to winter white. The best of winter from a photographic point of view (bad pun!) though there's little sunshine to make it all glitter. 'Thundersnow' is a new addition to our vocabulary, and to our experience too. So - I was looking at a lovely green summer scene from Fyvie loch. And with the help of Photoshop and the iPad app Vinci I painted it with all the colours I could squeeze in ;o)

A splash of colour to brighten a grey, winter's day...

The Stanley Park rose garden is still lush with hundreds of gorgeous blooms - so nice to walk among the beds and enjoy summer's end.

That is rain that you see in the sky. I am also surprised how well the camera picked up light and colour on a rainy day. This was not from excessive post production saturation.
