Taken on our my recent Flickrcation in Sechelt during our one rainy day. Loved the intensity of the colours in the diffused light.
Autumn colour from only two months ago that is now only a memory. Here the River Teign cuts through a channel beside a small island where a rocky weir holds back the river behind and to the left.
A year ago on "that" beach in Northumberland and one of the most colourful sunrises I've seen there. Unusually, I was also the only one on the beach - perhaps a reflection of the bitingly cold and strong wind. This certainly made any picture taking a challenge and any sharp images that would pass scrutiny from pixel-peeping out of the question. Still quite dark at this point and even high ISO and bracing the tripod resulted in few useable images. Oh, and I'd forgottne my ultra-wide lens that would have been needed to capture the full reflection too! Still. a nice memory of a beautiful piece of nature.

Hi everyone, this is "Starlight Express" colour.
I know it's a little bit diffrent to my usual bw work, but he ... it also has a great feel of magic I think.

In the royal greenhouses of Laeken in Brussels, a vision of luminous flowers that fade in colour and out gently.

Arches of colour - Dusk descends across Batty Moss after the winter sun drops below the western horizon dramatically silhouetting Ribblehead Viaduct. The sky seemingly loaded with the colours of the rainbow; the arches filled with the intense orange afterglow of sunset and the top of the viaduct delimiting the cooler tones of the sky above.
This was taken on my last visit to Ribblehead - New Year's Eve in 2019 and over a whole year ago now - I find it hard to believe that I did not manage a single visit to one of my favourite locations during the whole of 2020. Oh how so much has changed in that time.
Stay safe everyone.

Stunning, almost surreal looking, crimson/ purple sunset
The colours varied as the sun lowered and disappeared below the horizon.
The evening started in blues and slowly went into warm golden tones, followed by different hues of vibrant oranges and the sunset finale closed the day in stunning crimson and purples.

A hazy morning on Stanage. The light in the image is very subtle, a brief moment of sunlight lifted the image just a touch to add some separation in the rocks. Stanage is a great place, it has a wonderful sweeping edge, and always a challenge to find a composition. Really liked the combination of colour in the view.
