I believe this is actually a shot of the covered picnic area. Thought the Asian theme was very pretty though.

..ugh! We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning, and we are supposed to get more this week. Eternal says she is ready, but I am not!!!!

Still another indignity to be endured.

Put another log on the fire,

cook me up some bacon and some eggs...

Lines from a song my dad breaks into on occasion, and that I have had running through my head the last week.

I have never had a fire as a part of home heating, it is quite fun (though I don't chop the wood, maybe that isn't so fun). It is quite mesmerising to sit and watch it slowly consume the wood, and before you know it an hour has passed...

Frozen plants outside my greenhouse.

While up in Tahoe last weekend for NYE, Matt and I finally had a chance to take some photos in a forest. We had always been searching for a good location here in Texas, but never found one. In Tahoe you are surrounded by forests so we couldn't pass up the chance.

This is my bid for an Urban Outfitters catalog photo spread.

Last night London finally caught up with the rest of the UK, and got some snow. Not as much as I would have thought, given the weather reports and what its been like elsewhere - and its a lot less than the bad snow we had last year. Still, its substantial enough to be causing problems, although most public transport seems to be functioning.

The frustrating thing for me is that I really want to head to one of the parks for some photography fun - but I'm wary of driving anywhere in these conditions, especially when it's still snowing, likely to get worse, and there's a lot of ice about.

There are a couple of places I could go that I'd consider in walking distance in good weather - but not when its like this! I'd end up on my behind before I got to the end of the street!! So, I've had to content myself with taking a photo from the window! Call me pathetic if you will - but its cold out there! ;p

A bundled photographer walks through the crowd with camera in hand, goggles reflecting the scene ahead. In the winter light outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, documenting the demonstration becomes a shared act—multiple perspectives capturing the same unfolding moment. Phocal
