hey there, there we go a short peek at autumn coming into my city, everything is yellow and brown and red, and the leafes are soo crunchy, a very pretty season indeed!
While up in Tahoe last weekend for NYE, Matt and I finally had a chance to take some photos in a forest. We had always been searching for a good location here in Texas, but never found one. In Tahoe you are surrounded by forests so we couldn't pass up the chance.
This is my bid for an Urban Outfitters catalog photo spread.

Last night London finally caught up with the rest of the UK, and got some snow. Not as much as I would have thought, given the weather reports and what its been like elsewhere - and its a lot less than the bad snow we had last year. Still, its substantial enough to be causing problems, although most public transport seems to be functioning.
The frustrating thing for me is that I really want to head to one of the parks for some photography fun - but I'm wary of driving anywhere in these conditions, especially when it's still snowing, likely to get worse, and there's a lot of ice about.
There are a couple of places I could go that I'd consider in walking distance in good weather - but not when its like this! I'd end up on my behind before I got to the end of the street!! So, I've had to content myself with taking a photo from the window! Call me pathetic if you will - but its cold out there! ;p

It seems like we go along unfazed by the cold until one morning we wake up to a blanket of crisp white. Yesterday morning was that morning.
With the frost comes a new season in the garden. I can now begin cleaning out the remnants of summer and start putting the garden to bed. I’m always reluctant to admit that winter is near until I witness the death blow that comes inevitable by surprise some morning.

Crewmembers of the Coast Guard Cutter Spencer prepare the ship's mooring lines prior to departure, Friday Dec. 16, 2016, in Boston. The temperature was 8 degrees Fahrenheit at the time, which caused the lines to be frozen and difficult to handle. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Barresi)

Here is my boyfriend, Shawn, all bundled up for the -4 degree temperatures we had this weekend. I thought he looked like a bandit and we had many jokes about "Bob the Bandit" going on all weekend.
here you can see about all the kids of vik, iceland, it being such a very small place, but by far not the smallest by icelandic standards - there are villages of 5 houses, or less.
