he seemed to enjoy the first hailstorm from the comfort of his baby buggy -- but the second hailstorm (during the same walk, in which we experienced sunlight, rain, snow, hail) came with some loud thunder -- and sequoia started crying. nothing a peanut-butter granola bar couldn't fix though!

Kim Yung Hwa during Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-4 Feb. 4 at the Pyeongchang Winter Training Facility, Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea. Survival skills such as knowing how to find food and clean water and how to build fires and shelters are essential skills in nearly every environment, so this training allows the Marines to be more proficient at what they do, according to U.S. Marine Sgt. Joseph K. Blankenship. The overarching goal of KMEP is to enhance and improve the interoperability of ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces. Today the large piece of ice on our roof that has been threatening to fall at any moment finally lost it's fight with gravity, with a loud crack ,rumble and thud it hit the ground shaking the house in the process, it also tore the telephone and internet cable lines off the house but did not break them, so service was not interrupted, it also took our outside light off the house which I'll be replacing tomorrow.

I've estimated by it's size this piece of ice weighs around 200 plus pounds, nothing that you would want to be under when it falls.

I split it in half with a 9 pound mall so I could move it out of the path around the front of the house, I'll have to break the half's up some more tomorrow so I can better handle them.

Thankfully neither we our our dogs where out and near where this monster piece of ice fell, hopefully there will be no more ice build up of this magnitude in what's left of this long, cold winter.

Smoke On The Water...

Trying to catch the train, by a winter day...

I would like to apologize to those who have been following my 365 project. I have been EXTREMELY ill for the past few days and was not able to keep up with it.

I felt a million times better when I woke up this morning and decided to get back to my 365 project. This is a self-portrait. I decided to use my favorite scarf to help me out a little :)

P.S. THE FLU IS THE WORST!!!! D:

Both of these male fashion figures are hybrids.

The male figure on the left was assembled using a head from the Blue Box action figure company. The head as been placed on an athletic articulated body from another vendor.

The male figure on the right (leather jacket) was assembled using a resin head sculpt from one vendor placed on an athletic articulated body from another vendor.

(Refer to my albums for more in this series.)

When it comes to redressing my models, I have the most fun and creative enjoyment in blending clothing from different times and fashion lines, or in using vintage clothing on unusual doll makeovers. I will also dig through doll clothes bins at antique shops and flea markets for odd pieces that I can use. And, there are also times when a doll will come right out of the box and all I will do is add a coat or change out the shoes and accessories. As for hair, I don’t like fussing with it! I may be one of the few doll owners who will leave the heavily gelled factory-hair on a doll, if I like the hair do. Occasionally, I will clip or trim existing factory hair or leave it alone if I like the hair color blend otherwise, the factory hair comes off and I create a hard-hair sculpture using various acrylic compounds and then custom paint the hair sculpt to suit the project. Lastly, as for face paint, I will “tweak” the eye color, eye brows and cheek blush as needed otherwise, I will leave the factory face paint. So there you have it, my redressing “manifesto”.

Coming back along the country lanes from the airport I saw this site. A bush that has frozen following all the splashes it has received from the adjacent puddle which was being hit by passing cars.
