Photo taken 01.16.24. In Texas, it's not often that ponds start to ice up. It's been cold for several days now. The temperatures have ranged from the low teens to mid 20s. That's just cold enough to put a thin layer of ice around a few of the banks. Photo copyright Clif Bosler 2024

Parsonsfield, Maine.

Panorama view from Rt-160 / North Road in Parsonsfield today, we had some mighty cold looking November clouds passing over all day driven by a strong north west wind.

This picture is not sharp. My camera got frozen in a moment. The lens were so slow to focus.

Yeah, it's not cold yet. Waiting for -50ºC.

I have been taking photos of this old farm house for years. I have never gone inside but I have shot the inside through the broken windows. It is kind of a spooky place with lots of graffiti on the walls.

Many find Fall the most resonant of seasons. The changing of colors and the end of life for each leaf is a subtle and chilling reminder that all things are impermanent, all things end.

Original photo taken in early Feb in the snow at Walton Heath, Surrey, England, on my way to work on a foggy morning.

I am surprised that his head is currently no bluer than it is. Here in Wisconsin, we now have quite cold weather. At the time I took these photos today it was -2 F (-19C) with the wind making it -21 F (-29C)!

I was stranded at istanbul on the way to Urfa in Southern Turkey - what a journey, what a trip that was.

Two retro 350, 350.020 and 350.002 together spotted on Ex 614 Tatran after departure from Štrba station. Both locos will stop revenue services due to lack of ETCS by the end of 2025. So, this is their last winter for sure.

Tonkotsu Ramen from Springs in Chinatown. Not the best Ramen I've had, but it will do for now.

The sun is rising through trees as mist rises from the surface of the River Thames near Boulters Lock Weir. A retired police launch is moored on a small landing stage and there are perfect reflections in the water. Low angle photograph.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.

I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.

I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in England.

All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.

I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.

All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.

I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.

All of my pictures are copy right, © All rights reserved, you MAY NOT use any of my pictures without my written consent, you also MAY NOT change, alter, adjust or rearrange my pictures in anyway what so ever.

"Frosty Red Cherries - Branches" by Patti Deters. These crab apple branches show the bright red fruit still hanging from tree stems, frozen solid and frosted with ice and snow. The hoar frost brings out the beauty of these little fruits, while the cold weather preserves them a bit for birds and other animals that eat the nutritious berries. Crabapple trees are generally known for their pretty spring blooms, but when covered in icy hoar frost, I think winter is when they are most beautiful. Set against the white background of a bleak winter sky, the image looks a bit abstract. This never-ending polar vortex is really messing up my midday exercise routine. Soooo Coooold out there!!

High up on the eastern edge of the Pennines in County Durham, the snow was lying all around, the visibility was low and yet drive into the valley - less than 30 seconds away and there wasn't any snow. The snow was just on the tops of the hills. This un-named farm is about 325 metres up and in the middle of nowhere in Weardale.
