Ben Stafford,11, doesn't seem to mind the cold while playing in Page Park in Bristol on Friday afternoon.
When snow lands on the ground, the world becomes a peace’s untouched place. I know I feel bad walking on nature’s art️
The timelessly beautiful Nay Aug gorge in Scranton, PA. This waterfall sees numerous deaths each year as teenage thrill-seekers underestimate the current and cliff jump into the gorge.

A quiet, snow-covered rural road stretches straight into the distance under a uniformly gray winter sky.
Fresh snow blankets the pavement, with two darker tire tracks cutting a soft path down the center. On both sides of the road, trees and shrubs are heavily laden with snow, their branches sagging and irregular, creating a dense, muted frame.
Utility poles and power lines run along the right side, receding rhythmically toward the vanishing point and reinforcing the sense of depth. A small house sits back from the road on the right, partially obscured by trees; a single warm light glows from a window, providing the only hint of human presence and color in an otherwise monochrome scene.
The overall mood is still, cold, and subdued—suggesting early morning or late afternoon after a snowfall, with softened edges, low contrast, and a strong sense of isolation and calm.

Revisiting an image from 2009, one that I've just gone back to.
A festive window display in one of the many 'trinket' shops in Castleton, Derbyshire. This image taken on Boxing Day 2009, shows the village in all its Christmas glory. Each festive season the Castleton Illuminations light the villiage with thousands of lights on the trees outside every shop and business in the high street.

First day of Spring, 2020, at Cherry Beach. Downtown Toronto. Only people missing from a perfect day. Of course just above freezing and Lake Ontario really really cold
I thought this photo was fitting for my Holiday card, taken on the eve of the Winter Solstice, my Birthday, and the day after our first significant snowfall of the season. This little Dark-eyed Junco is also called the Snowbird, and I usually see them near the birdfeeder in the winter only, especially before, during and after a storm.
Happy Holidays!

At a minus -13°F below zero we had a bit of frost on the windows this morning.
It was about 40-45 degrees outside that day. When a fabulous model wants to tough out her concept, she gets her concept! Thankfully it wasn't windy and moments in the sun weren't too bad at all.

No sunshine for today's cruising, but still a beautiful day.
This is another photo from the whole bunch of the ones I took on 11.11.2016. I seems that I had a blast that day and out of hundreds of images there are quite a few good enough to post them online :)
We had some significant snow and some very significant cold weather overnight, Birds were flitting around like crazy this morning.
There are 2 male Cardinals, but can you find the 3rd bird in the picture? If you found it, what is it?
Indeed, we're gonna have winter like this just in 1.5 month. Fog and frost b/w -40C and -50C are an essential part of the daily winter life of the Siberian city of Yakutsk, the world's coldest city.
We've had snow, frost, ice, fog, and more snow, ice, frost and fog. So all the land is covered in ice crystals at the moment in my part of the UK. This really is shaping up to be a bad winter - or a good one if you like taking photos of the snow.....21/12/2010

Suet is pure fat that is high calorie & provides energy while helping birds maintain their body heat in winter. So many species of birds go for the suet in my yard. This time it was a flock of sparrows.
