One of the coldest Decembers in decades. In past several winters any December snow melted in a few days but this year we have had snow cover since mid December.

~ Well hello there! ~ I hope you are all well and had a super Christmas and a New Year that was vaguely recallable!! ~ I certainly had a wonderful time and have eaten enough to last me through the winter I think.

The one thing about cold weather is it does present some wonderful photo opportunities. Just after sunrise in Edmonton. Temperature is -23 C with a slight breeze from the southwest. It's cold.

A lovely view from my balcony right after getting up. It will be a cold winter day, but hopefully it brings something good.
Taken at Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), Iceland in -17C, had to use my fingernails to get the ice of the lens after every other photo
I did not use tripod
It was soo cold that I kept getting error message and had to take the cf card and put it under my clothes to heat it up until it started working again
