It was -4F in Sandstone with a windchill well south of that as I stood on the bridge to shoot the Great Pumpkin leading M-SUPNTW.
Somewhere in Toronto, one December morning.
Flickr seems to make this look oversharpened. Try full size.
Early afternoon on the beach, early afternoon to ensure the south end of the beach was in light. Cool but calm, making the best of it before Friday, wind speeds of over 70 mph forecast for Friday evening.
Dunnet Bay, Caithness, Scotland.
a bramble leaf yesterday morning.
It was even colder this morning I think. Yesterday it was beautiful and fun as i could just wander with the camera but this morning it was just hassle as i had to defrost the car to get to work!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and dependent on the day of the week.

Yesterday me, my mom and dad drove down to the sea and took a walk. The sunset was incredible. This is the first shot that I've processed but you can't really see the fantastic sunset in this one. But I like this one a lot. The sunset orange at the horizon against the really cold blue ice in the foreground. The saturation might look a bit overdone but it's not. The colors really looked like this. You could even see a touch of purple in the water. More pictures to come!
Thanks a lot for your comments!!! Hihgly appreciated! ;)

Stood in cold water, very cold water, for about 2 hours waiting for the clouds to finally drift in front of this peak just behind Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park, Montana (where I had the good fortune to get married) this past July (2009). My feet had seen better days. This was my first real shot with my new Canon 5D Mkii. I also brought my old Nikon gear as backup on this trip... turned out my 18-200 mm no longer focused to infinity (or anything > 3m). Anyway, hope you all enjoy your Black Friday.
This photo is dedicated to my wife's grandmother, who we just learned is in the final weeks of her 92-year long life.
Single RAW exposure. Singh-Ray 3 stop GND filter. B+W C-PL to remove the foreground glare. Slight level adjustments in Photoshop CS4.

Niagara Falls is an entirely different experience in the dead cold of winter but well worth it! Eventually a person does thaw out...
