Major super-freaking-breaking news... It's uh sunny and in the 40s outside.

From one of the first major snow storms of the season just as we're getting into the start of Spring now... was a tough winter. There were some good parts of it, but I'm happy to be finally coming out of it.

These work in very cold weather

I thought the light flare-ness was awesome on this. the lighting in my kitchen is the best.

Matt Baker throws towards a basket in the 35 degree weather at Steele Creek Park on Friday. Baker and his girlfriend, Lora Slusher, are from Christiansburg, Va. and by mid afternoon had played two rounds of Disc Golf as practice for a tournament on Saturday closer to home.

All taken in the past week in the very cold weather we have been having.

i also have a better focused one but I liked this.

You just watch and let it all go slowly......

"Along the Pond Path"

It was so cold in the house this morning we had to put on the fireplace to break the temperature. I did my walk to the gym in a light rain and the walk home was with a cold wind. Amazing weather for June.

Hundreds of spectators braved windy, cold weather conditions to watch Monster Truckz crush cars and catapult into the air during the weekend event held at the Rockingham Speedway located in Richmond County, North Carolina. Coined “The Most Insane Trucks on Earth,” the Sarasota-based touring group entertained and wowed the young and old during the two-hour event. The trucks are 12-feet tall and 12-feet wide, weigh between 10,000 to 15,000 pounds with 66-inch off-road tires and are capable of speeds up to 100 miles-per-hour. With high winds, the Nitro Motocross Team and Monster Truck Cannon were unable to perform. (Photo by Mark Bell)

This is a typical view of my Arctic Oven tent. the wind is blowing 10 - 20 knots and the ambient temperature is -20F to -40F. Wind chill is -45F and below.

Not many cyclists out today. Record low temperatures for this day -24ºc and if you figure in the wind chill feels like a balmy -40ºc.
