The current cold weather has transformed the countryside around my house into something far more spooky then the usual lush green acres. Mist and hoar frost circle the sun in up to minus 15 degree temperatures. Nature retreats into it's shell.

From one of the first major snow storms of the season just as we're getting into the start of Spring now... was a tough winter. There were some good parts of it, but I'm happy to be finally coming out of it.
This cold weather is perfect for soup. Love being able to make my favorite cold weather meal... French Onion Soup !
From 21-23 February 2025, members of The Royal Regiment of Canada participated in Ex LANCASTER CHILL (Ex LC) at Burwash Range and Training Area.
Ex LC consisted of two parts - the Cold Weather Operator (CWO) course, and the unit field training exercise (FTX). Those on the CWO course learned the skills needed to fight and survive in a cold weather environment, including building improvised shelters, fishing, and trapping game. The CWO course was joined by international staff and students at the Canadian Forces College. Those on the unit FTX conducted reconnaissance patrols.

I really can't believe how much snow is sat on this body of water. There are paths full of footprints from one side to the other. The big puddle in the middle kinda puts me off. Well, that and the icy death if I fall through. No thanks.
Off just a little bit was the temperature on the sign at RPM Offroad on the Volunteer Parkway Monday New Years day.....475 degrees. In reality it was around 17 degrees.
I oversaw this community service project where our TAB collected items, compiled cold weather comfort bags, and delivered them to organization that serves the homeless.
We had our first snow here this week. At first I was apprehensive of going out in it but I eventually my love of taking photos overrode my anxiety about the increased fall risk. I bundled up and took my time and about half an hour in realized it was a year ago to the day I broke my leg. I’m pretty proud that I took those steps on that day in particular. Definitely something to celebrate!

Have you realise that China weather is changing from bad to worse, why? The main cause I would say is the rapid grow of industries due to many overseas buyers couldn't produce in their country because costing is not justified!
