The Fujinon XF 16-55mm F2.8 LM WR is the premium standard zoom for the Fuji X system. It has a full frame focal length equivalent of 24-84mm, meaning that it can cover everything from landscape to portraits (as you can see in this gallery). While not a perfect lens, it does most everything very well, and the images I was able to get with it really pleased me. My review coverage can be seen here:

It's that time of the year again, this weekend and the following two weekends after that are RPSI Santa Special weekends. There'll be two steam trains a day running from Dublin to Maynooth and back, all worked by the beautifully restored loco No.461.
I caught up with the train as Pike Bridge along the Royal Canal as the train was slowing down as it approached Maynooth.
I've uploaded a video of the day's Santa Specials over on my YouTube Chanel.

Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden Greensboro. North-Carolina. USA"
Had one last day off decided to photograph the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden in Greensboro.NC. Planned to spend a couple of hours ended up photographing for 5 1/2 hours but it sure was fun and talked to a lot of nice people.
the storm clouds just kept rolling in that day, they were gray, thick and were very threatening, but surprisingly, it stayed dry that morning and didn't start pouring until we got home later that afternoon...i thought this angle with the use of my UWA lens would give a cool perspective of the Jefferson Memorial especially with those huge clouds drifting slowly over it...and with how gray things looked, i also thought that going black and white with this frame would work better than with the color version...have a great night friends...pls. There is nothing quite like the feeling of sand between your toes and the warm, salty waters of the Caribbean lapping around your feet. Evenings like this are what makes people love the Caribbean the world round.

the view of the city skyline in monochrome as seen from Olive Park in the city's River East neighborhood...
Little Sable Point Light, one of the few natural red brick lights in Michigan, is located on Lake Michigan in Silver Lake State Park in Oceana County. The 100-plus foot tower is open to the public in season. The automated light is still active. The keeper's house has been lost to time.
While we had planned a trip for New Mexico, little did we know that Albuquerque is a hub of hot-air ballooning. My fiancee and I decided it was something we must do - highly recommended!
As we ascended, another balloon team was preparing for their flight. This taken just after take-off.
Of all trips I've made down to the North Carolina mountains and the Brevard area in particular, I had never ventured down highway 215 until this trip. This one is hard to miss as you drive down this windy mountain road! There's another nice waterfall on the other side of the bridge that would involve a steep scamble down the bank, but my girlfriend was becoming a little impatient and gave me "that look" when I ventured over to the other side of the bridge to take a peek.
Returning from a salmon fishing trip on the Pacific Ocean, the afternoon sun (and a polarizing filter) turn the vibrancy of the Golden Gate Bridge way up.

The last of the Utah photos. This is s triple exposure with the sun flaring in the upper left corner. The clouds really started to roll in that morning and eventually by the afternoon, the whole sky was overcast.
Thanks to Corey for the title help
Went to visit Uncle Georgie and Grandpa....From Santa Fe County Road 57 - aka Waldo Canyon Rd. This connects the village of Cerrillos to I-25. It is a really nice dirt road with lots of curves and hills - very peaceful :-)

More photos from a downtown Chicago walk-about. I had gotten up early one Saturday morning to take pictures of the city from the lake shore. However, my best shots of the day came a bit later while walking home.
As one looks up into the sky while in the walkway next to the Wrigley Building. The sky bridges are all too often a memory of Minneapolis for me (as a means of avoiding walking outside on those bitter cold days).
- www.kevin-palmer.com - The Pryor Mountains are split into two high points, Big Pryor Mountain and East Pryor Mountain. The elevation for both is just under 8,700 feet. This is the view from East Pryor Mountain in the morning.

A non-HDR composition.
Closing tonight for the weekend to switch to the new span.
Shot from a small boat on the Bay. Cropped panorama. (Super-wide is one of the few instances where the new Flickr layout presents better.)

This is from a test-run of my new toy - a B&W ND110 filter. It removes 10 stops of light, allowing 30+ second exposures in broad daylight. In addition I had a circular polarizer mounted, which cut another stop or so.

so this morning, me and my wife Delight headed out to the city for some city sightseeing on our day-off...went around Millenium Park and Grant Park a little bit then went to West Egg on Fairbanks and Ontario for some late breakfast...right after that, she wanted to shop a little bit but i hate shopping malls so we decided that she would go shop around while i go shoot around...i had a great time roaming around the River North area for about 2 hours and this is where we met up again after she was done...i showed her this little corner of the Wrigley Building that she has never ventured into and she loved it...i had to really get close to the window of this building to get this shot and when Delight showed up, she pointed out that i had dust on one side of my hair from the dirty windows of the building...hope you guys like this B&W conversion...pls. Andrew and I have a little Strawberry Shortcake book about a late spring. In the book spring is a little girl (very fairy like) and she's too busy making snow angels in the snow to properly do her spring thing. Consequently Strawberry can't plant her spring garden in the frozen ground. Hello? It's just a book! Doesn't have to be real!!! I'm ready for it to warm up even just a bit. Having lows above 40 degrees would be a find start. Not asking for much here! Get your butt moving, spring! Old man winter needs a break from his hard work!!!
That said... HBW. Please enjoy with some
