Chef Stephan Pyles.
Ha creado 26 restaurantes en 27 años y ha escrito cuatro libros de cocina altamente exitosos. Se le considera como uno de los padres fundadores de la Cocina del Suroeste y fue la primera persona en el Suroeste en ganar el premio James Beard del Mejor Chef, y fue el primer tejano en ser incluido en el Who’s Who of Food and Wine in America.
La revista Bon Appétit le acredita “haber cambiado casi por sí solo el panorama culinario tejano” mientras que el New York Times lo nombra “un genio absoluto en la cocina.” En el 2006, la revista Esquire lo nombra el “Chef del año” e incluyó el restaurante de Stephan Pyles en su lista de “Mejores restaurantes nuevos.” La revista Texas Monthly lo denominó uno de los “veinte tejanos más impresionantes, fascinantes, e influyentes del 1998” y en su edición de febrero del 2007 nombraron su restaurante, Stephan Pyles, como el “Mejor restaurante nuevo del 2006”.
Recientemente abrió Samar by Stephan Pyles.
