While driving to Saskatoon last June I had the fortune of coming across a pair of foxes that were playing in a field right next to their den...
Unfortunately I did not get to see any pups but this male decided to hang around outside the den (the female went in rather quickly after seeing me)...
He allowed me to get rather close (about 30 feet)... and at one time he decided to come and check me out and wondered over within about 15 feet of me, though he showed absolutely no agressive behaviour...
Over a 10 minute or so period I took over 100 shots and this is just one of them... taken while he was lying down outside the den... entrance right behind him... closing his eyes in the sunlight with the wind in his hair...

This supermarket in Eaton, Ohio was built in 1968 as a different store, was bought by Marsh in 1987, and got expanded in 1988. This Marsh supermarket is one of only 15 Marsh locations still in operation as of Summer 2017. This store was bought by Fresh Encounter in June 2017. Also, this grocery store is in an odd area; it is on a side street rather than a major road. It also suprised me that this location is open 24 hours.

The shopping center this Marsh store was opened in was built in 1957, so it is possible that this Marsh location was opened then. The first UPC / barcode was scanned in this store on June 26th, 1974.
This Marsh supermarket is one of the last 15 Marsh locations in operation. This store was bought by Fresh Encounter in June and, at least for the time being, retains the Marsh name. Taken July 7th, 2017...

Although the 2022 Dollar Tree photo tour was only 3 photos long, the store was worth the revisit to see any changes made in the past year. Some of it weren't for the better, some were. The older checkstands remained for the most part. Dollar Tree needs to start paying their workers better. This was it for most of the Value Center photo tour.

A close-up view of the Artemis I Orion spacecraft with NASA’s famous “meatball” insignia is affixed to the spacecraft adapter jettison fairings, which protect the European built service module, inside the Multi-Payload Processing Facility at Kennedy Space Center on Jan. 20, 2021. Ground processing will begin on Orion, with the Exploration Ground Systems and Jacobs teams performing checkouts and fueling the spacecraft with commodities as part of preparations ahead of the Artemis I mission. Checkouts. Usually the merchandise area up front is usually beach stuff. Black section on the wall is the Avis rent-a-car desk.
This store opened as a Big Bear supermarket in December 1994. Bear Bear closed on January 18th, 1994 (along with the rest of the chain) and reopened as Giant Eagle on February 8th, 2004. The store was fairly small, at only 35,192 square feet. The store was remodeled by Giant Eagle, but besides the signs and paintjob the store looked a lot like a Big Bear still. Oddly enough, this store didn't even have a pharmacy; I wonder if it did at some point in the past. The grocery store closed on March, 4th, 2017, but the State Liquor Agency remains open (at least for some time).
This photo was taken on March 4th, the final day of the store.

These checkout lights are cool looking. I think they are from a Metro food store, a former division of Richfood, wich has since been swallowed up by Supervalu. The Metro name was converted to Shoppers over a decade ago.
This building was never a Metro.
Update: These are most likely from a Genuardis
Right in front of the escalators is a bank of express checkouts, which don't seem to get much use, and which (rather strangely) have register lights without numbers on them. In the background is the store's Seahawks section, as well as some random other clothing displays.

A 175,000 square foot Super Kmart store opened here on September 10, 1997. Super Kmart closed in 2003 then was demolished for an Ikea store. The 311,000 square foot Ikea store opened in June 7, 2006, but is currently undergoing a 44,000 square foot expansion scheduled to be completed in Summer of 2015. Another interesting tidbit is that this store has over 4,000 solar panels on its roof and will have nearly 5,000 when the expansion is complete.

You can see three different styles of cash registers in this photo. The center one is the one that came in the original sets with the two left checkouts. I have more like this, but of course they're hot pink. I will paint them all this color because it's accurate for the time period.

The site's design is deceivingly simple, yet full of information. It's attention-grabbing without the clutter of competing elements, and it does well with a white and light grey color scheme. But it's the design details that make this such an amazing website. Go ahead, check it out (pun intended) for yourself.
