WEEK 15 – Mansfield, OH, Target (V)
From pretty much the same vantage point (as indicated by that annoying Tide display blocking the bottom half of our view, lol) but turned the other direction, here's a shot peeking over at the checkouts. Looks like this store only has 15, maybe 16 checklanes total. That's actually fewer than Horn Lake, which has 18 – although if you want to count only operational registers, then this store happens to have more, since Horn Lake's checkouts 13-18 all no longer have computers at them!

The garden shed looking somewhat faded.
Today's asigned task was to put the final flakes out of their misery and give the whole thing a nice coat of fence paint. I checked online to see if any was still available and discovered the following:
B&Q - available to order online. Placed item in basket, proceeded to checkout. Received message stating "This item is not available for collection and has been removed from your basket". Attempt abandoned.
Wickes - in a queue to get on their website with a 35-minute wait . Apparently I would then have just ten minutes to pick what I wanted and pay for it before being booted off. Attempt abandoned.
Screwfix - Item in stock, but not available for collection or delivery.
eBay - Lots of fence paint advertised on eBay and available to order. That's as long as I was prepared to pay anything between £45 and £120 for a 5-litre tin. No, but thanks for asking.
So, rustic it is then. Result!

Today Porsche Holland announced the celebration of the fifth anniversary of Porsche Centrum Gelderland via a Press Release. With this release, my photos were shown!
In de last two weeks I've already showed you two teaser of the 50 Porsche's. These photos today, are examples of how the book is designed.

This very typical, 77,496 square foot, Giant Eagle supermarket was opened in 2001. The store also had a kiosk style GetGo gas station out front. On March 4th, 2017, this store was closed.
This photo was taken on March 4th, the final day of the store.

This visit was my first, and currently only, to the famous Southaven Greenhouse Kroger. I'm almost afraid to go back and see it matching most of the others in the county!

Although the 2022 Dollar Tree photo tour was only 3 photos long, the store was worth the revisit to see any changes made in the past year. Some of it weren't for the better, some were. The older checkstands remained for the most part. Dollar Tree needs to start paying their workers better. This was it for most of the Value Center photo tour.

The shopping center this Marsh store was opened in was built in 1957, so it is possible that this Marsh location was opened then. The first UPC / barcode was scanned in this store on June 26th, 1974.
This Marsh supermarket is one of the last 15 Marsh locations in operation. This store was bought by Fresh Encounter in June and, at least for the time being, retains the Marsh name. Taken July 7th, 2017...

Stopped in Walmart late last night and found them installing new "Scan & Go" self checkouts. This store previously had 8 self-checkouts (4 on each side of the store); it looks like they are doubling the amount to 16 self-checkouts (8 on each side). Despite the signs saying Scan & Go is coming, I don't think this store is actually getting the real Scan & Go checkout system that's being tested in a few other stores (the one where you scan items with your phone as you shop).

Alia Bhatt – Vogue India (March 2016). Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra features on the cover of Vogue Magazine’s Indian edition for the month of March 2016. Alia posed in bikini on the cover page and entire photoshot is shot at beach which is too hot to handle. Checkout Alia Bhatt Vogue.
WEEK 24 – RRT, Greenville Kmart
A look at the store's checkouts now, as we prepare to leave. A typical view of this area would be devoid of all those windows, as mentioned previously: while I can certainly understand why they were removed from a safety perspective (in response to this incident), it left the front ends of many Kmart stores bleak. True, many stores have gone for windowless front ends over the years to increase salesfloor space, but (as usual) I think Kmart executed that concept a little more poorly than the rest...

This supermarket in Eaton, Ohio was built in 1968 as a different store, was bought by Marsh in 1987, and got expanded in 1988. This Marsh supermarket is one of only 15 Marsh locations still in operation as of Summer 2017. This store was bought by Fresh Encounter in June 2017. Also, this grocery store is in an odd area; it is on a side street rather than a major road. It also suprised me that this location is open 24 hours.
