On our way to the Moon the flight control team used the cameras on the Orion's solar wings to do a thorough inspection of the spacecraft. Glad to say I got everything I wanted! Nothing says Citizen Brick like a neutral face. I love the combo for my varsity figure and the green tuxedo freebie is pretty neat, too. Actually, I nearly missed out on the figure with the flesh neutral head. What happened was I had two separate pages open for my cart, and updated one of them which I took to checkout. However, because of the other tab, it claimed it was out of stock. I got frustrated going back to the CB Day III section and seeing it was still there, but after deleting my other tab all was well again.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to putting these pieces to work, especially the Japanese. To be continued...

EDIT: I'm glad so man of us are fans of Citizen Brick around here, but please refrain from asking me to part with my parts. Everything seen here is being put to good use.

WEEK 33 – Toys “R” Us Outlet, Southaven

Here's a much clearer shot of the checkout counter – well, the blue fixture above it, anyway! While everything else in the store still looked more permanent than this store's previous iteration, it's clear that this blue fixture was the most permanent thing out of everything present. Within the blue border, as you might expect, the Toys “R” Us logo is featured, alongside longtime mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe. Below that is a small area stocked with some bags, and in front of all this is the desk with the registers.

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

Decent view of the front checkout counters, as I hardly think the term "check lanes" would apply here! This was from the first visit, when there was still a lot of merchandise everywhere...

WEEK 49 – OB WM, Set I

Because you can never have too many black Walmart checklane light shots, here's yet another, of lanes 7, 6, 5, and 4. This picture was indeed taken from lane 8, but as it was on a different visit, it was just a coincidence that I was in line in the same one that was closed the last time I was there!

Note the orange sign partially reading “phone” and “computer repair” at the right edge of the pic. That was, I'm guessing, formerly the portrait studio here. On my initial visit, they had one of those Walmart Realty signs up, like [https://www.flickr.com/photos/walmart3/] got a pic of here. Unfortunately, by my second visit where I planned to stop and snap, turns out the space had already been snapped up itself!

While driving to Saskatoon last June I had the fortune of coming across a pair of foxes that were playing in a field right next to their den...

Unfortunately I did not get to see any pups but this male decided to hang around outside the den (the female went in rather quickly after seeing me)...

He allowed me to get rather close (about 30 feet)... and at one time he decided to come and check me out and wondered over within about 15 feet of me, though he showed absolutely no agressive behaviour...

Over a 10 minute or so period I took over 100 shots and this is just one of them...

WEEK 52 – Southaven Burlington Relocation: Finale (Buck's Bargain Center)

As I was exiting, I tried my best to discreetly get this shot of the checkout counters beyond that front end dividing wall I showed you earlier in this set. Frankly, I'm surprised at how well this turned out, lol! You can see each of the apparently-four (earlier in this album, I said there were only three: whoops, my bad!) lanes is joined by an endcap with yet more merchandise placed on it, and three out of four have Coke fridges as well. And don't forget the front wall, too, which – you guessed it! – has even more stuff for sale placed along its length!

Surprisingly, for being at the front end – and having sodas for sale – none of the endcaps look to be stocked with candy. That seems quite odd to me. I mean, regardless of the store type, it seems like EVERY store has candy at the checkouts! And speaking of candy... a Moon Pie is one of the many things set to be dropped tonight at midnight to ring in the new year. That used to air here in Memphis on WMC-TV 5, until the program was dropped (pun intended :P ) a few years ago. What's the weirdest New Year's Eve object-drop that you know of?

I didn't realize how small candy/magazine racks were then until I saw this.

At the end of the registers where the Bakery is shown was a snack bar when this was A&P. The fake wood paneling was left over from A&P.
