If I had to put money on something that won't be around 5 years from now... I think these former KCS rostered end cabs are high up in my list. Once Calgary gets wind of these in service, it's game over man. This little guy is seen just north of Knoche Yard returning after switching various industries north of the yard.
Could do a whole shoot that was simply "sit 'em on the sidewalk and let the sun flare do its thing".
I see from the archives, this was my only shoot with Brittany...worst feeling is looking back and realizing I should've worked with folks more than once. I see all the avenues I missed in the first (and only) shoot, wonder what I was thinking, back then.
I can tell this: I wanted it over as soon as possible. I shot close to my apartment, stayed put in one spot on the street, the metadata says I didn't even make it a full hour, but I don't remember anything so significant that would've made it bad beyond "not my vibe."
The more I look at the shoot, the more I get it. I was bored. Not feeling it, I barely had Brittany move around, barely made her laugh. I didn't take any chances, didn't try anything new.
Oh...looks like I'd been to my favorite Mexican restaurant a few hours earlier...I was probably nursing a mean post-heavy meal hangover. I've made this mistake before, it all becomes clear.
Shoot on an empty stomach, damn you!
I was reminded today of what a gorgeous girl HOM is, so I had to share. It's just starting to snow here!
Words can not describe their eyes, mouths, arms and hugs, nor the joy hitherto unknown, arising from a (re). For those who, a few days ago, reflected both the work of chance, really understands that today, chance is but a mere nothing, and believe in something bigger than that. ~
I really enjoyed working with this model yesterday, so I thought I would start a Faery Wonderland series

Not had chance to get out with the camera recently so posted an image of the sunset at Langstone Harbour taken in September this year.
1/40th second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad filter.
Thanks for any comments you may wish to leave.
Unexpected face in the snow! Created by the angle of the sunlight across a snow covered rock. Made my day!
Our family stopped at a small rest stop at a tiny "town" called Last Chance in eastern Colorado, and while the family were, um, resting in the little portapotties, I spotted this orchard oriole nearby, my first shot of one of these orioles!
Well, I was scheduled to photograph an old shop that’s closing down this week in Tateishi Nakamise - the lovely drinking/eating arcade in my neighborhood. Unfortunately that didn’t work out.
But, if you stand around long enough in the Nakamise, you’re bound to: run into an old friend; or make a new one. And that’s just what happened here when I met Takei san.
I spotted a one-armed man from behind, moseying down the avenue. After missing my chance at the shop shuttering its doors, I figured: this could make an interesting portrait. I approached and said “excuse me.” He turned around, and to my delight … he was wearing a Leica. We spent the next few minutes talking about Tateishi and photography, and Tateishi photography. Snapped the photo, and the rest is history.
A self proclaimed “amateur photographer,” Takei san is visiting from Hachioji (waaay on the other end of town) to photograph and drink his way down our humble, covered corridor.

He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He don't play for respect
He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance
I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

14. Chance encounter.
I spotted this skull on a tree during my walk last week from Chesham to Cholesbury. Maybe it belongs to a bird!
Came upon this barred owl, that was trying to make lunch out of a nearby red squirrel...without success.
Finally I got the chance to do this classic angle. Need to put in extra effort to correct those distortion and some defects while photoshop merged these shots taken without pano kit ~

Sometimes you're just lucky... on a Street Photography workshop where we were advised to look for interesting people. This lady with a bright red beret walked past - the hint of blue in her jacket matched perfectly with the Graffiti on the wall.

Spotted this shirt at the BATLE memorial art show this past weekend. A couple guys had them on. They weren't selling them, but made them to wear that day to pay respect to BATLE. Unknown to them, they used my photo. Made me smile to have it on there.
Finally i had a patient and willing volunteer to try this - still much practice needed but i'd say i'm getting there
;-)

I called in at the scrapyard and by chance came across another 205. I had a brief chat with it's young owner who has owned the car for about a year and is very much a fan. His is a diesel.
It was lovely today! With blue skies and a temperature hovering around the 0 degree Celsius mark, what better to do than clamber down a frozen waterfall in street shoes - even with the full force of the flow rushing unabated below the ice. These two did fine but with warmer temperatures coming, I'll bet you wont be able to take chances like that next week
Last chance to see some sun fun before it’s time to get out the fur coats girls!
Actually, that sound quite nice

Ran into these guys in a parking garage. If it wasn't during SXSW I would've run the other way.

Some squads are completely wiped out during enormous combat invasions such as the Attack on Charlies' Castle and Blanks Wall. Other squads make it out fully alive while other squads make it out with only one squad member left. Nicknamed "Last Chancer" For the luck in these such cases. These men/women operate alone and in their own conditions. Still taking orders from Command but no other, due for their risky combat strategies. That also shows a point in how these "Chancers" are also some of the best soldiers in the USDF.
