Clarksville, CA, a ghost town near El Dorado Hills and Folsom. It is on private property and this was a private tour. It will be open to the public for the first time in May 2009 for Clarksville Day, a celebration of the history of the town. These were all taken for the Folsom Telegraph and the story and some of the pics will be used in print and online at folsomtelegraph.com.

The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Designed by the English engineer William Tierney Clark, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in 1849.

It is anchored on the Pest side of the river to Széchenyi (formerly Roosevelt) Square, adjacent to the Gresham Palace and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on the Buda side to Adam Clark Square, near the Zero Kilometer Stone and the lower end of the Castle Hill Funicular, leading to Buda Castle

Man has chained himself to a miniature of an oil drilling rig on top of a tram stop at the climate strike in Melbourne CBD. On the right you see both a yellow and a purple flag with the logo of the climate activist group Extinction Rebellion.

I took this photo with my iPhone while participating in the climate strike myself. It goes to show how far climate activists will go to get the Australian politicians to make drastic change in their climate policy.
