This photo was a mistake, the reflections and shadows on the floor looked so cool I wanted to take a picture of them but couldn't hold the camera steady long enough so the lights on stage came out all sqiggly.

Cap's Place, Lighthouse Point, Florida
A unique restaurant on its own island near Lighthouse Point, Cap's Place has been going since the 1920s.
At the request of my mother, we went for a nice afternoon walk on Mother's Day. Saw this chain on the ground and figured it'd be pretty good practice for post-processing (turning something ordinary into something a bit more photographic / artsy).
I think it came out alright, but it's still missing something...something that'll give it the kick and make you say wow. Hm, I'll probably go back to the original and start from scratch. Stay tuned.
Front of lower chain guide tube complete and all bolted up. I used a section of PVC with a bell fitting molded in, then sawed it off, preserving just the curved opening to better guide the chain.

Angler Eric Packard's Field Notes: On 5/7 I fished the bay, but the weather prediction was a bit off. The wind was racing down the bay. But in light of that we caught fish. Catching close to 50 striped bass. Most within the slot, a good number over slot and a couple under.
On 5/9 I fished St Mary’s Lake. There catching six largemouth bass and two pickerel. Although they were small fish, it was a fun spring outing.
On 5/11 I fished the West Branch of the Patuxent River. More wind, with a lot of rain thrown in for good measure. Catching two nice bass on green pumpkin colored wacky worm.
On 5/12 I fished Point Lookout. Very slow, I caught a striped bass in the channel leading out to Cornfield Harbor. I could see cownose ray on the meter too, so I headed over to the lighthouse. I did not see fish out there, I even went around the point to fish the bay. Still no fish. I spoke to a pound netter who stated that he hasn’t seen any marketable fish in his nets. Very slow down there.
To close out, I fished north, at Triadelphia Reservoir on 5/14. Wind was a factor as the morning went on. Only fishing a few hours. Well, more driving there and back from Solomons then fishing. While there catching a 30” northern pike. But the trip up was well worth it. I went north to get a big pike and I did just that.
