My dad made these chains. Each individual chain is carved from 1 piece of wood-no cutting or gluing.
What I thought were beautiful lakes were actually man made, or at least man crafted. As it turns out, Alberta has a lot of reservoirs.
I was informed that this particular reservoir is awesome for skating in the winter time when it freezes over. The high winds probably polish the surface ice to a sheen.
Chain Reaction is Portland's all-male bike dance troupe. Saturday they performed at the BTA/PSU Bike Challenge celebration.
Current photoclub assignment is "repetition". I saw this heavy chain in our local church and thought it fitted the bill nicely!
Diane covered Korn and Alice In Chains with opening acts Underoath and Ho99o9 at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY. See the full coverage here theravensview.net/news-%26-reviews/f/korn-and-alice-in-ch...

Had a fun day snowboarding yesterday. Finally got to use my tire chains that I've carried around all Winter "Just In Case."
Chain Bridge Budapest
The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Designed by the English engineer William Tierney Clark, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in 1849.
It is anchored on the Pest side of the river to Széchenyi (formerly Roosevelt) Square, adjacent to the Gresham Palace and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on the Buda side to Adam Clark Square, near the Zero Kilometer Stone and the lower end of the Castle Hill Funicular, leading to Buda Castle
This gold and purple earring was made special for someone; I left the loop at the bottom empty because she's going to attach her own matching charm to the earring. :)
The chain is gold-colored copper, the earring posts are gold-colored metal, and the purple bead is glass.
