I made this earring custom for someone who wanted their gauged ear plug turned into one of my cartilage chain earrings. :)
I attached the chain to the plug by drilling and twisting an eyepin (is that what it's called?) into the plug. That loop at the top is so the earring can slide onto a barbell cartilage earring (kind of like this earring).

Cello shaped, and chain driven. There's something sensual about the woodgrain too. Portal23 produced this beautiful artwork piece and photographed it with a holga, lifted the emulsion onto a big chunk of glass, and gave it to me in a Tommy Hilfiger box with the simple instruction 'see what you can do with it.' So I did. I particularly love the grain of this image.
This sock is knitted at the cuff, the heel, the bottom of the foot, and eventually the toe. The leg and top of foot if crocheted.
EDIT:
I did finish the sock and you can find my pattern here:

Chain link fence, then some weeds, then some graffiti.. that's an ugly-sounding description, but I thought the fluffy heads were really pretty in the sunlight

Something important for my first image of 2024.
A detail from my chain of mothers.
During lockdown I turned to my ancestors to keep me company and started looking for them. I'm still at it. I've begun an ongoing project to collect the names of the mothers (I'll do the fathers, as well) and write their first name and the year of their birth on individual paper chain lengths. My chain currently has about 150 names with dates ranging from 1995 back to the 11th century. It's very empowering. Right now they're looped around on my back door, but I'll soon need a wider space to be able to see all of the names. I've barely scratched the surface.

The laddie driving it thought I was a bit odd to want a pic of HIM, but totally understood the chain thing!
