I found this chain yesterday, and was reminded of my grandmother's vintage chain belt she gave me a couple years ago. BLYTHE CHAIN BELTS, YOU GUYS! The jump rings, clasp, and smaller chain are all silver or silver plated.
The Irish Chain pattern isn't really all that complicated. It's really just 2 blocks, one a checker board, the other a white square with a bit of checkers around it. You can sew 5 strips together in the sequence you need and slice off 2 for each block. Block 1 uses 5 strips of just 3 sequences, block 2 uses 4 strips of just 2 sequences and a square. Hover over the image for the sequences. Now, how easy is that?
This one was quilted by my mom and my great aunt. Can you believe I was broken into and they probably used this quilt as the get-away loot bag! There was a broken window and the stereo, the TV remotes and the quilt were all missing when I got home
This is kodak 2238. Wayne gave me a mile of this a couple of years back. I just shot this roll quickly at a disused MOD facility not far from where I live to see what i thought of it. Developed in D96 @ 12iso I think it came out rather well, practically grainless but still with a bit of film character.
The only thing is that the ultra slow speed doesnt really suit my needs. I remember last year Mike seeing how far he could push this stuff so I'm going to carry on where he left off and see if I can get a usable negative for the darkroom at a heady 100iso! The aim is to try to introduce a bit of grain and more character by underexposure but not at the expense of total loss of shadow detail. Update to follow soon...

More than 30 cadets from the Class of 2015, selected for brigade and regimental staff positions this academic year, gathered at Eisenhower Hall Aug. 8-9 for the Key Leader Development Training. They were doing some sort of work near the parking lot at work and had it chained off for a bit. Then they just had the chain laying on the ground when I left. It was yellow.
