"It is a mistake to look too far ahead. Only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at a time.”
Winston Churchill
The old home fell a few years ago. The barn still stands and the lock and chain hold firm....We've lived around here 30 years and it's been locked all this time...I wonder if the person who put it on ever thought it would be there this long.....Happy New Years to you all and I hope this is your best year ever......

The Chain bridge in Budapest was designed by William Tierney Clark, the same person as the chain bridge in Marlow (see below). This is the bridge viewed from the Buda side of the river, with our hotel somewhere in the background lights.

This was my first shoot with Valerie - she came to one of our small group shoots and I had no idea what to expect. Valerie was an absolute delight to shoot with - a nice mix of sassy, adventurous, photogenic, and fun to shoot with. It helped that Valerie is about the same size of my wife so she could wear some of Heather's outfits. She is definitely someone I'd love to do more shoots with.
I took these photos in Star, Idaho in April 2016.

Chain Drive - Midori Traveler's Notebook Passport
I use my Midori Passport TN as my wallet and I always wanted a wallet with a chain so I had to DIY this one (after a trip to Michaels). I'm sure the chain isn't practical so I'll probably change it and the rings later...
This is taken on the Chicago Riverwalk, about 200 ft South and down a flight of granite steps from my image "Skyline Bridge". The rotting wood and chains drew me in, but I stayed for the wealth of fine details...check out the wood grain and all the spiders in their webs!
Mamiya RZ67 Pro II & Sekor 110mm f/2.8 lens at 1/90th f/11 on Ilford FP4+ rated at EI80
Developed in HC110 dilution B (1+31), for 7:30 ("normal" for FP4+ @ 125 is 9:00) to offset the added exposure. Negative came out a touch thin, but this is a new film and new developer to me so I'll need to run tests.
Scanned on Epson V600 with Vuescan Professional, some minor adjustments to contrast and "clarity" along with some capture and output sharpening in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS5, but still very true to the contact print on grade 3.
