Continuing with yesterday's daisy theme, a daisy chain. I want to say that no daisies were hurt during the making of this, or at least no more daisies than necessary, but I cannot because it would be a lie. It is a lot harder than I remember to make a daisy chain. Some time during primary school, I do not quite remember when, I joined in with the rest of the year group to make the longest daisy chain - we wanted to break the world record. Of course, none of us actually knew what the world record was for the longest daisy chain, but we got it to be all the way from the top playground to the bottom playground - to children that is quite a long way. I think the only reason I was involved was because they needed everyone in the year to be able to make it before the end of break - if they had had ample people, I would probably not have been involved.
I have to thank my lovely neighbour for agreeing to let me photograph her. I was very close to asking my brother to be in this photo - hey, why not break the social gender stereotypes just a little more and have a boy wearing a daisy crown? My only problem was that he is not home at the moment. Maybe when I see him next...
Oh, I used Mango Street's free Lightroom preset, because I was pressed for time and I could not get it to look how I wanted without a lot of fiddling about with it, and with pressing biology work waiting for me, how could I hang around working on something that I actually wanted to be doing?

Ognuno ha le proprie catene da spezzare.
But you didn’t have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don’t even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn’t have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
I guess that I don’t need that though
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know
The split pins are interesting, one is a nail and one is too long.
The Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills is a museum of industrial heritage located in Armley, near Leeds. The museum includes collections of textile machinery, railway equipment and heavy engineering amongst others.
The Grade II* listed building housing the museum was once the world's largest woollen mill. The current structures were built in 1805 by Benjamin Gott and closed as a commercial mill in 1969.
The first time you get a belly chain around your waist is a very special feeling.
The first thing you notice is how extremely restrictive it is. Picking something up, adjusting the jumpsuit snaps, even walking in the already pretty restrictive leg irons -- it all becomes way more difficult. There is no way anyone would be able to hurt somebody wearing this, let alone escape. Once the chains go on, you're completely in the control of the CO's.
The fact that a scrawny guy like me has to be put in such heavy restraints "for everyone's safety" is just surrea. I'm in deep trouble this time...
Happy Fence Friday everyone.
An early morning walk found me this fence around the playing fields in Chichester.

An abandoned cotton spinning mill somewhere in Wales. Abandoned for some time, not sure on the history behind it. Visited with Wiffsmiff23. Ended up doing some obscure macro work as part of the visit too.

But TGIF! Good weekend to everyone!
I usually take landscape photography and process with textures which is a lot of fun - but then you get a macro shot that you love and there isn't any need to touch it!
From the days of great architecture for even the simplest, most mundane things, look at the design of the front most water intake. Off Chain of Rocks Bridge, 66, St Louis.
Using my Nikkor 35mm prime I captured this chain which is used to tie boats to on Shaldon beach although this one has nothing on it and it looked like it had been this was for sometime.

A cool perspective of a chain link fence shot with my 85mm L. It was shot at 3.2.

CHAINED UP IN MY ENDING MOMENTS
I FEEL MY SOUL TRYING TO BREAK FREE
MY HEART SEIZES AND STOPS
AS MY FINAL GASPS ESCAPES ME
MY SPIRIT RAISES FROM MY BODY
AND LOOKS AROUND AT THE SCENE
MY MOUTH DROPS IN HORROR
AS NO SOUND COMES OUT, AS I TRY TO SCREAM
WHAT HAS HAPPENED? WHO DID THIS?
ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT PLAY THROUGH MY HEAD
IS THIS A NIGHTMARE THAT I AM HAVING?
OR AM I REALLY DEAD?
I LOOK AROUND FOR THE ANSWERS
AND SEE A NOTE UPON THE GROUND
I READ IT TO MYSELF
BECAUSE NO ONE IS AROUND
AS I COME TO THE END OF IT
EVERYTHING COMES CHRYSTAL CLEAR AND REAL
I DROP THE NOTE AS I READ THE LAST SENTENCE
"I AM TIRED OF BEING STRONGER THAN I FEEL"
