09-13 December 2019 - our Capacity Building Domain team facilitated a 5-days training on Micro Enterprise Development (MED) for all team members of project 'Integrated Model of Sustainable Henna Cultivation' implemented by AT-GRASSROOTS SOCIETY (ATG) and Arpan Seva Sansthan in Dhakdi village, Sojat block, Pali district, Rajasthan. The project is supported by L’Oreal and has received grant from ASK.
The main objective of this intensive training was to build capacities of project teams on the concept of micro enterprise, to conduct market assessment, select enterprise and entrepreneur, develop of Business Development Plan (BDP) for the farm working in the intervention village.

CTI: CBNI 4: Capacity Building Workshop on Resilient Supply Chains
02-04 August 2018 - Association for Stimulating Know-how (ASK) team conducted a capacity building training on Lobby and Advocacy at Karrtabya, Kalahandi,Odisha.
During the three-days long workshop, participants developed their understanding Advocacy, different tools under Advocacy, and process of doing Advocacy at community, Block and District level.

On 27 April 1924, the Italian island of
Sicily hosted the famous 'Targa Florio' race. It was won by a red Mercedes racing car.
This is a sister machine to that winning car. A two Litre supercharged special, driven by none other than Alfred Naubauer with co-pilot Ferdinand Porsche. Both went on to greater things respectively as the team manager of the famous "Silver Arrows" and the founder of another Stuttgart based car brand.
This car came to England in 1925, where it has largely remained since.
In 1958 Gerald Palmer bought the car and spent the next 10 years on its restoration. Mr. Palmer was a talented engineer and car designer of some repute, with the Jewett Javelin and MG Magnette being two of his most famous creations.
With the help of some friends, Gerald rebuilt and restored this rare racer. Over the following decades, he enthusiastically drove it at hill climbs and events around Europe, including the 1986 Monaco Grand Prix weekend. He particularly appreciated the engineering quality of this Targa Floria, and even sold a Bugatti T44 to ensure he would keep his favourite car.
Towards the late 1990s, Mr. Palmer stopped driving his Mercedes. The car was parked up in his garage in rural Oxfordshire. After he dies, the car remained at the family home.
Every two weeks since then, and following his request to do so, Gerald's devoted daughter Celia has hand turned the engine crank handle to keep the motor from seizing.
It did once play a role as a 'maternity ward' for Celia's beloved cat, which had given birth to a litter of kittens on its seats. Apart from that, the car remained hidden away, gathering dust.
On 31st October 2004, The Palmer Mercedes left its garage home for the first time in almost 30 years.
Now, this magnificent machine is here for you to enjoy, thanks to the generosity f its' owner Celia Palmer.

Forty domestic workers participated in the second Africa regional capacity building workshop for English- speaking affiliates on December 12 – 14, 2015 in Cape Town, South Africa.
During the 3 days, the participants exchanged information on how they organize and communicate with their members. There was training specifically on communication skills, trade union principles and strategic planning methods.
Also, the participants had a chance to visit the housing project for domestic workers in Cape Town.
