Replacement of the overhead wiring and structures as part of the High Capacity Trains Project which is running in parallel to level crossing removal works on the Pakenham/Cranbourne line corridor.
The original lattice structures date back to the 1500V DC electrification of the lines which were completed to Oakleigh in March 1922, Mordialloc by June, Frankston by August, and Dandenong in December of the same year, with Frankston completed by August. Although Dandenong and Frankston were the limits of electrification most trains terminated at Oakleigh and Mordialloc originally as they remained the limits of suburban expansion until the post-war years.
In the lead up to the electrification project a large scale project was undertaken between Caulfield and South Yarra lowering the rail lines to remove numerous level crossings and expanding from two to four tracks and rebuilding stations at Malvern, Armadale, Toorak and Hawksburn. The station buildings were to a common design and were completed in 1914 with the quadruplication work coming into service in October 1915.
The overhead wiring was replaced as part of a suburban upgrade in the late 1980's using the original structures which were up to 100 yards apart. Note the old lattice portal structures across four tracks are generally being replaced with pairs of two track cantilever structures at closer spacings - around 60 metres.

The Boeing 777 is the world’s largest twin-engine long-range airliner. It has a capacity of between 314 and 396 passengers, a flight crew of two, and up thirteen flight attendants. The 777 was the first commercial airliner to be designed entirely with computer-aided design tools. The first 777 rolled of the assembly line on April 9, 1994 and made its first flight on June 12, 1994. United Airlines was the first airline to put the 777 into use in 1995. As of 2018, a total of 1,988 airplanes had been ordered by airlines around the world, making the 777 the most successful long-range twin-engine airliner ever and surpassing the number of Boeing 747s built.
Built by Boeing Aircraft Company at Everett, Washington and rolled out on April 9, 1994, this is the first 777 to be produced. It made the type’s first flight on June 12, 1994 and participated along with other prototypes in the aircraft testing and certification that continued for the next 11 months. The aircraft remained in Boeing’s test fleet until the year 2000 when it was sold to Cathay Pacific Airways. As a part of the sale it was modified to replace its original Pratt and Whitney PW4000 engines with Rolls-Royce Trent 884B-17 engines. This is a complex change which required completely replacing the engine pylons. It is the only 777 on which this type of engine change has been made. The plane was delivered to Cathay Pacific in December 2000. It remained in service with the airline until June 2018 when it was retired from service. Recognizing the importance of preserving the first 777, Cathay Pacific and Boeing selected the Pima Air & Space Museum as the permanent home for the aircraft. It was flown to Tucson for display in September 2018.

HD and The Habibie Center (THC) brought local stakeholders and interfaith actors from both sides of the divide together in a neutral setting for them to discuss the communities’ issues.
HD and THC organized capacity building workshops on dialogue, mediation and peacemaking. These workshops were tailored to the local context and targeted at relevant interfaith actors or institutions. They included trainings on practical skills such as mediation approaches and what works for different contexts; explored confidence building measures; and communication skills in a conflict setting.

Megadeth plays to a capacity crowd at Austin 360 Amphitheater. Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Usually, The slot set aside before the headliner goes on stage is reserved for up 'n comers, those artists and bands looking for exposure in order to build a fan base. And usually, sadly enough, the venue is filled with just a smattering of early arriving, over-excited fans simply waiting for the headliner to take the stage. In no way was this the case at Austin 360 Amphitheater on Tuesday night. By the time Megadeth took the stage at 7:30 the venue was almost to capacity. Austin traffic conditions are probably to blame for the place not being filled. The early arriving fans were treated to a hot-Texas sun and blistering riffs provided by Dave Mustaine and company. Although Mustaine's demeanor onstage doesn't match the pulsating Megadeth music he clearly seems to enjoy shredding the faces of the Megadeth fans pressed up against the retaining fence with fists clinched over their heads. For as low-key as Mustaine seems to be onstage, the Megadeth music falls into the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Heavy, fast and furious!
The newest album of Up Dharma Down after 4 years. I am a big fan of UDD, just lucky to have one because it's always out of stock and available only in selected music stores. Got mine at Fully Booked, The Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati last night.
Nine tracks, i love all! One song entitled Feelings, features Blue Nile frontman Paul Buchanan. As the band matures, so as the songs in this album but their signature electronica tempo remains.
This CD sounds better on tube audio system.

a. Stephen Hawking: "Let us fight for every woman and every man to have the opportunity to live healthy, secure lives, full of opportunity and love. We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity. We cannot remain looking inwards at ourselves on a small and increasingly polluted and overcrowded planet.”
b. 6th century reformer Poet Solon wrote ----
"Snowstorm and hail come from a cloud and thunder comes from lightning,
But the ruin of the city comes from unjust men they do not understand how to restrain their greed. They grow rich, persuaded by their unjust deeds, which destroys the beautiful youth of many; and from its troubles the much-loved city is swiftly worn out, friendships destroyed in unjust factions."

Located under the seat in the Series 3 City-Els, this is the fabled capacity meter. It's often removed and by-passed, so finding an intact one was a bit of an occasion. The CPU is an NEC microcontroller based on the Z80, the uPD78C10. The program is stored in an EPROM (with the white label and part number 3001-6213T).

Not all water disputes lead to conflict, however; and not all conflicts turn violent. Some fester perpetually beneath the surface and, as with limited access to potable water and improved sanitation in many parts of the world, are part of settled social relations. However, a change in the setting – such as an unexpected drought or flood, or a change in government policy, or the appearance of an NGO willing to drill a borehole for a community – can bring long suppressed grievances to the surface.
This workshop was organised in Nairobi from 02 to 05 November 2016. It gathers water professionals and put emphasis on Alternative DisputeResolution (ADR), in particular, principled negotiation – an approach that seeks to embed outcomes and processes that will serve sustainable, equitable and efficient long-term social needs.
