We cooked the calzones on each side in the cast iron skillet, and then popped them in the toaster oven for a few minutes to complete baking.

Calzone wrapped in bacon. Olive+chile oil on the outside with seasonings and cheese. Inside is shredded 6 italian cheeses, pepperjack, colby-jack, and ricotta, with seasonings, pepperoni, salami, chinese cabbage, red curry, madras curry, and jalapeño.
Couldn't get a good shot of it. I managed to eat my thin crust pizza and 2 slices of this with marinara sauce before I was completely full.

Got lazy and used pre-packaged pizza crust mix. Nice to stock a few of those for quick help in a pinch. Sauteed veggies, a little pasta sauce and lots of cheese. Pressed out like a regular crust, but a tad thicker, then loaded it and folded it. 425F for about 15min.
Too hungry to worry about focusing. ;)
I ate it all in one sitting, btw. :(
Two of the calzones before going into the oven. The dough rose for about an hour and a half before I shaped them into small circles and added the stuffing, then I let them rise another 45 minutes or so.
Made with The Garden of Vegan calzone dough (so nice and soft and light!), filled with red peppers, zucchini, kale, tomato sauce and vegan cheese

Good solid pizza (technically we ate a huge calzone, but it was a pizza folded in half). It's gooey, it's very cheesy, crust is thin and perfect. Not the best place, not the prettiest, but the pizza is authentic New York. I've had NY pizza and this is the only place I've eaten pizza at in LA that has anything remotely close and they do a pretty good job.
