We all need a little cake in our lives.. I did indulge yesterday to celebrate our daughter's birthday and very nice it was too!
Vanilla cake with vanilla cream and raspberries with a sparkly sugar coating and a shimmery brooch design
This cake was a lot of fun to make. Greg made the piano - a scale replica of a Steinway Grand Piano and I made the character as well as did the detail on the piano. The sheet music was an edible version of "You Make Me Feel So Young" by Frank Sinatra :)
It's beautiful sunshine outside but the best place to take a photo was on the livingroom floor.. weird..
This cake took hours. My daughter loves the Movie Spirit and had requested a Spirit Cake. We couldn't find a Horse Cake Pan so I enlarged a Spirit image and then cut it out. I used a toothpick to punch little holes in the printout so as to make the lines. That was the extent of my contribution. My wife did all the rest.

Gin and tonic cupcakes to be precise. Made by my cousin in industrial quantities for this afternoon's golden wedding celebration. And very delicious they were :-)

Matching cakepops were also made as gifts for Emily's friends.

(Gluten-free with almond meal & rice flour. Sour cream chocolate ganache.)
