Not the best print, but what a cool scene- CTA streetcar passing under the Webster Ave L station, which was located between Armitage and Fullerton. Car is on the passing track on an otherwise single track Webster-Racine line. The line was replaced with buses 9/1/47.

Canada Steamship Lines' CSL Tadoussac loads taconite pellets at BNSF Railway's Dock 5 in Superior, WI in October of 2008. The CSL Tadoussac is named in honor of Tadoussac, Quebec, the oldest settlement in Canada. She was launched on May 29, 1969.

The CSL Tadoussac, after spending a few days in Windsor because of ice conditions, is finally underway for Thunder Bay. She's the third vessel in a convoy lead by the icebreaker Samuel Risley.

Although many will probably not admit it, there was a time when a lot of us will have owned as a child the products of Summer. We might have loved our Matchbox, our Corgi Juniors and Majorette etc...but invariably our parents would have bought us the many cheap multi-sets they produced too!
Their early products are now gaining quite a following amongst some collectors who know full well their many failings but appreciate their honest charm and the fact they often modelled vehicles not always covered by the major toy makers of the era.
This silver coupe is JUST about recognisable as being based on a 1970's BMW 3.2 CSL, earlier editions were MARGINALLY more realistic but this later version appears to have been even more simplified, just look at that front panel! It looks like a dog bearing its teeth!
Probably once part of a larger multi-set though this this solitary example came to me recently as a recent kind charity shop gift.

Here in the beachside town of Kill Devil Hills, NC all waste is collected by the city. Recycling is optional and a separate service by Bay Disposal. The city does not run any front loaders, but a commercial side loader(s) most houses have a couple of carts but some of the larger ones have one of these containers out front like a cart.
