In der Weihnachtszeit sind jedes Jahr im Volkskunstmuseum Innsbruck die unterschiedlichsten Krippen in einer Sonderausstellung zu sehen. Der Phantasie der Krippenbauer kennt keine Grenzen!
Every year during Christmas time there's a special exhibition of a great number of different cribs in the Museum of Popular Art in Innsbruck. The phantasy of the different constructors is limitless!
die leichten Reflexe waren leider nicht zu vermeiden, die Exponate sind hinter Glas - sorry for the light reflections, the pieces are behind glass:-)
Salisbury Cathedral's fabulous life-sized papier maché Christmas Crib, by Dorset artist Peter Rush, situated centrally in the cathedral, directly under the Spire until Candlemas on February 2nd.
The infamous ridge in morning sunshine, with some of Glyder Fawr's amazing spikes of rock in the foreground.
Just another shot from the road. This crib was so lonely looking and the sky was right. Kismet! (Cornmet?)
Made by Nassau Products Troy New York measuring 22x26x16. The rods on one rail have to be repaired and then won't the dollies sleep ever so soundly.
The tin dollhouse and furniture were sold as a lot. This crib was part of the lot.
This lovely Crib Scene from the Swiss Church in London seemed an appropriate shot to use to send Christmas and New Year greetings to everyone! My prayer is also that the peace, joy, love and hope of Christmas can become a reality not just for us as individuals but throughout our troubled world!
This Crib is made totally out of icing fondant.
The crib was inspired by the amazing work of Quaintcake’s.
I was asked to copy one of her cakes but told the customer I preferred not to out of courtesy to Quaintcakes.
So I agreed to make a similar cot to place on top of a cake.
If you have not already seen Quaintcakes work, do yourself & favour & have a look.
Totally fabulous.

The corn crib was elevated above the ground to prevent flooding by a nearby river. It was built on top of metal pipes for durability and each pipe had a cone on its top to control vermin.
The nearby grist mill (visible behind the corn crib) enabled easy transfer of stored corn to be ground into meal.

Managed to get myself up crib goch again the other day, this time the cloud had just lifted revealing spectacular views across the horseshoe
A new day begins on the Snowdon Horseshoe, I set off around 02:30am and headed for the summit in total darkness, not long before I had to use my gps and map to help get me out of trouble and get back on the right track, as my head torch was completely defused with the low dense cloud which rendered it pretty much useless, I reached the famous standing stone (waypoint) in 2 hours, and after breaking through the cloud I had complete solitude and clear summits with cloud below them, looking down onto Crib Goch from Garnedd Ugain.

Just looking back through some photos and I found a few from a trip earlier on this year to Snowdonia that i forgot to upload. This is taken just after sunrise half way up Crib Goch and it was pretty much the only sun we saw all day as the clouds rolled in.
Equipment:
Nikon D7000
Sigma 10-20mm
A view of Crib Goch and Snowdon in Snowdonia National Park, Wales, on a summer's evening. I had intended to camp between Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr, but the location was exposed so I dropped to a lower height. Thankful I did as otherwise I would never have seen this!
