Organics was still a relatively new idea in the Peninsula cities at the time, so WM had this truck done up to advertise their service. From what I was told, the program was a pretty big success, but was discontinued when GreenWaste took over.

In April 1967, the Upper Lakes Group, Inc., launched the unique traditional styled bulk carrier Canadian Century. In 2002 the Canadian Century underwent a major refit: a new larger cargo hold, midsection, and a new self-unloading system were installed to the existing bow and stern; upon completion, it was renamed the John D. Leitch. In February 2011, the Leitch was acquired by Algoma Central Corporation.

Tom was driving us back through Chicago at the mid level time of the blue hour from looking at a vehicle which was a great disappointment due to the condition and history that was not given before we traveled so many miles. A picture says a thousand words, but we amateur photographers all know some things can not be seen in a picture due to lighting and camera angle and etc. Such was the case for us. Oh well..... Live and learn that a group of used car salespersons are still used car salesperson, with their managers. At least all was not lost, we were still able to get away for a while, and able to take some great shots of downtown Chicago on this autumn day/night in October.

Kuala Lumpur (often abbreviated as K.L.), is the largest city of Malaysia. The city proper, making up an area of 244 km2 (94 sq mi), has an estimated population of 1.6 million in 2006. Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.2 million. It is the fastest growing metropolitan region in the country, in terms of population as well as economy.

The Petronas Twin Towers (also known as the Petronas Towers or Twin Towers), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were the world's tallest buildings, before being surpassed by the Taipei 101. However, the towers are still the tallest twin buildings and office building in the world. Tower 1 was built by Hazama Corporation and Tower 2 by Samsung Engineering & Construction and Kukdong Engineering & Construction (both of South Korea). They were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004 if measured from the level of the main entrance to the structural top.

The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was formed in July 1945 by two successful businessmen Henry J. Kaiser (1882-1967) and Joseph W. Frazer (1892-1971).

Immediately after the war their industrial activities changed to develop and produce cars.

In the first three years the Kaiser-Frazer Corp. was quite successful. The company offered cars simultaneously under two different brand names: Frazer and Kaiser. The sub-companies shared bodies and technics.

The first cars appeared in August 1946.

All Kaiser models were face-lifted for model year 1949.

New for 1949 was the Traveller Utility Sedan. This was a combination of a kind of commercial hatchback with a station wagon. The car had a back door which opened in two parts. The backseat could easily folded down to create cargo space. Industrial designer Howard "Dutch" Darrin (USA, 1897-1982) had a main influence on the styling, but the designs were revised by Robert Cadwallader.

Alex Tremulis (USA, 1914-1991) joined the design team in 1950 (after the 1948 Tucker failure).

The Vagabond was the luxury version of the Traveller. About 4500 units in total were built.

US Sugar Corporation's recently restored 4-6-2 Pacific number 148 appears as if it's floating atop the field of cane as it rolls east (railroad south) at about MP 936.2 (measured from Richmond, VA) at the head of the AAPRCO 'Sugarland Limited' special operating on rails now belonging to modern day shortline South Central Florida Express. They are heading from Sebring to Clewiston where the eight historic cars will be based at the railroad’s headquarters for the next several days of rare mileage excursions and tours.

Wholly owned by US Sugar Corp. as their common carrier railroad subsidiary, this particular trackage was built about 1922 by the Atlantic Coast Line and remained with ACL successors SCL and SBD until becoming part of CSX. The latter finally sold this branch line in June 1990 to the Brandywine Valley Railroad, a Lukens Steel Company subsidiary which operated it as the SCFE. Four years later they sold the railroad to its largest customer, U.S. Sugar which operates it as a separate company semi independent from the 119 miles of private non common carrier branch lines they already owned.

Clean burning (it's fired with used restaurant vegetable oil) 148 was built for the Florida East Coast Railway in 1920 at Alco's Richmond Works and served for the FEC for 32 years including operating over the famed 'Overseas Railroad' to Key West until that line was wiped out by the 1935 hurricane.

From 1952 to 1968, 148 was owned by US Sugar for use on their private cane hauling railroad. Later used in excursion service on the Black River and Western and Morristown and Erie Railroads it then languished with different owners for decades until being repatriated to Clewiston and restored over a four year period.

The Millennium Bridge, officially known as the London Millennium Footbridge, is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the River Thames in London, England, linking Bankside with the City. It is located between Southwark Bridge (downstream) and Blackfriars Railway Bridge (upstream). The bridge is owned and maintained by the Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the City of London Corporation. Construction of the bridge began in 1998, with the opening on 10 June 2000.

Londoners nicknamed the bridge the "Wobbly Bridge" after participants in a charity walk on behalf of Save the Children to open the bridge felt an unexpected, and, for some, uncomfortable, swaying motion on the first two days after the bridge opened. The bridge was closed later that day, and after two days of limited access the bridge was closed for almost two years while modifications were made to eliminate the wobble entirely. It was reopened in 2002.

The southern end of the bridge is near Globe Theatre, the Bankside Gallery and Tate Modern, the north end next to the City of London School below St Paul's Cathedral. The bridge alignment is such that a clear view of St Paul's south facade is presented from across the river, framed by the bridge supports.

The nearest London Underground station is Mansion House.
