Built by the Electric Car Company in Preston way back in 1907, the former Sheffield Corporation tram number 264 now finds itself as a regular operating vehicle at Beamish.
When I came to look up a few details of this tram I was almost tripped up. By an unbelievable coincidence there are two former Sheffield Corporation trams that have been preserved that both carried the number 264. The other example dates from 1937.

Ultra rare Datsun Laurel 2-door version. It looks like a Coupe, and from some angle it looks like a pick-up with a closed lid. I've never seen this version before. Not even on photos.
In some markets this Datsun is known as Nissan Laurel 2.0 DeLuxe.
The original colour used to be red.
These square double headlights came in Autumn 1977 to replace the round ones.
The Datsun/Nissan Laurel range was available from 1968 to 2002 divided over eight generations. This 200L is from the Third generation.
This third generation Laurel was designed by Shinichiro Sakurai (Jap, 1929-2011). He worked for Prince Motor Corporation. In 1966 he moved to Nissan Motor corporation, after Prince merged with Nissan. Here hes was responsible for the Nissan Skyline series.

Blackpool Corporation fleet number 1275
Case Tractor with Timber Trailer on Harrington Avenue, Blackpool 5th August 2021
This remarkable vehicle was for many years Stockton's only single-deck bus. Leyland surprised the market with the Olympic, its first underfloor-engined model. Not only was it of integral construction but the bodywork was by MCW rather than its own bodybuilding department.
Stockton Corporation possibly created as much surprise locally, not only by purchasing a single example of the new model but by specifying a rear entrance and front exit. Delivered in 1951, MPT 858 (fleet number 26) seated 41 passengers rather than the standard 44. It must have been difficult to judge the success of a single vehicle of such unconventional layout in a fleet that was otherwise made up entirely of traditional open-platform double-deckers. The only thing that we can be sure of is that it remained unique, although Stockton returned to the concept of dual door single-deckers in its twilight years - albeit with a front entrance and centre exit.
As far as the home market was concerned, the Olympic was soon succeeded in Leyland's catalogue by the Royal Tiger, marking a return to conventional body-on-chassis construction (16-Jan-10).

One of Duxford's most popular exhibits, the British Aircraft Corporation / Aerospatiale Concorde.
Duxford's Concorde, number 101, was the third to be built for test purposes before the world's first supersonic airliner went into production. The French and British prototypes made their maiden flights in March and April 1969 and Concorde entered commercial service in January 1976 with British Airways and Air France. It first flew in 1971 and carried 12 tons (12,209 kg) of test equipment for a five year period of test flying.
In this time all aspects of Concorde's structure and flight performance were measured with 209 flying hours at supersonic speed and 170 of these at twice the speed of sound. In 1974 this aircraft reached Mach 2.23 while making the fastest flight of any Concorde.
