- Ricordare il Creatore in ogni momento;

- Guadagnare lavorando onestamente;

- Condividere il guadagno.

"Kathyrn is a hamlet in southern Alberta under the jurisdiction of Rocky View County. A Canadian National Railway line runs northeast through Kathyrn towards Three Hills.

Neil McKay, a local farmer and large landowner, named this hamlet after his daughter. He had offered some of his land to the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Company in 1911 for a townsite, on the provision that he be permitted to give it a name. When the station was finally built in 1913, the painter who was in charge of the sign misspelled Kathryn and the settlement became known as Kathyrn. The post office opened January 1, 1919.

Rocky View County's 2013 municipal census counted a population of 20 in Kathyrn, a 42.9% change from its 2006 municipal census population of 14." From Wikipedia.

WINTER arrived two days ago, on 14 October 2020! Our world turned white overnight, but thankfully the snow melted fairly quickly.

Friday, 16 October 2020: our temperature just after noon is 0C (windchill -5C). Sunrise is at 8:02 am and sunset is at 6:39 pm. We are under a Snow Squall Watch today - not sure if I have ever seen that kind of warning before. Ice pellets are forecast for this afternoon, though the sun has just come out and the sky has patches of blue.

Five days ago, on 11 October 2020, I finally did a drive NE of the city to see several barns and other things that I was really hoping to see again. I had checked the weather forecast and it was not good for the coming week - rain, rain/snow or flurries. I knew I had better get myself organized and delay no longer. As it was, the forecast for this day worsened in the afternoon - and it was right.

My furthest point north was to quickly call in at Irricana, to photograph the beautiful outdoor mural of the grain elevators that had once stood, but no longer exist. Irricana is a small town whose name is a contraction of the words "irrigation canals", which are found around the Irricana area. I had first seen this mural, and others, three years ago with my daughter.

"One of the largest pieces local artist Glen Collin ever worked on was a mural he painted that now stands at the entrance for the Town of Irricana. The mural portrays the two Irricana grain elevators while they were still standing. The mural took Collin approximately three full years from painting to installation in 2013."

Another thing I really wanted to see again was one of my favourite old barns. It is still in use, though unfortunately the cupola fell off the roof to the ground since 2017. I was expecting to see a few sheep in the field by the barn and was surprised to see none. However, when I turned my car around to continue my drive, there they were, resting in a field the other side of the road.

A few more barns, a number of skyscapes, and one duckling added to my few hours away from the city. I am always thankful that I am able to explore the backroads and see what I can find. Especially appropriate on the Thanksgiving weekend.

Christmas Parade entry. The ute is a 1964 Lightburn Zeta, made in South Australia, one of about 13 utes and the only tray top version made by the factory. The trailer was made by local shearer Max Peppall to cart his shearing plant around. The tree has bird boxes and bat boxes that have been made by the shed for distribution around the area affected by the Pinery Fire, around 100 have been made.

can be created once we all share and work together.

After 28 additions considered the sheet done.

Though then a young sister said she had an idea.

Leaving it up to you to guess what she added...

Decided after some.. mainly female additions

in the beginning.. to let only women add to it..

Thus this sheet is nearly wholy Female Energy.. bar one ;-)
