Latest drawing of the leaf collection..I called it Community as it reminds me of how in a community there are many people that are similar but not the same..this is like the leaf world.
In biological terms, a community is a group of interacting organisms sharing an environment.
Fordwich is a market town and a civil parish in east Kent, England, on the River Stour, northeast of Canterbury. It is the smallest community by population in Britain with a town council. Its population increased by 30 between 2001 and 2011.Fordwich, on the edge of the city, was an important port. And the river played a key role in the spread of Christianity.The parish church of St Mary stands behind the Fordwich Arms, beside the river. This is a lovely old building in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Inside the church is the mysterious Fordwich Stone, a solid block of limestone beautifully carved to resemble a tomb

A meeting with our community staff and volunteers. This includes staff in the area as well as from our national office, our guide mothers, and community mobilizers.
Guide Mothers and Community Mobilizers are vital connections with communities. In this part of Honduras the mobilizers have lots of distance to cover in a mountainous region, without any transportation other than a couple of motorbikes.
An integrated community of lichens and fungi have found a suitable substrate with optimal moisture and temperature for growth.

Gated communities are such a medieval concept. This is the town of Colombier in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. At the bottom left you can see Roman ruins on which the castle was built, the rest of the structure dates mostly from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries, with nothing in view here that is any younger than the 16th century. Of course all the buildings are in full use, as is the Swiss way. I had just driven out of the town under the arch, barely a car width.
Love Switzerland, I lived in an apartment here once that was built in the 1600s, where else can you do that?
