"As communicators, artists should not just portray a subject. Their work should be a window to the thoughts and inner workings of their artist lives and minds."

What a surprise yesterday morning! Many collembola were out but a specimen caught my eye !! it was much bigger and bigger than the other Fasciomsonithurus but maybe that red-eyed collembola is not one ... a Sminthurus?
I could observe two specimens, this big specimen is a male! and he is huge !!!
Frans is this albino collembole? or a new species?
I did not find a species like him on the site.
If we look in comparison with the Fasciosminthrus, the lateral and rear drawings are not similar The eyes are much bigger also

i've found myself contemplating the many aspects and problems of communication lately, both verbal and written. Communication is the main artery in which to connect with another human being, which is in itself, innate...and what we desire and fear the most.
To speak and be spoken to...to hear and be heard. The latter is so much harder to do...
A 15 second shot into a relatively small area of sky show an incredible 4 communication satellites in low earth orbit and perfectly highlight the issues facing astronomers both amateur and professional whilst trying to observe the night sky.
This was taken at Ballinasloe horse fair and this man was selling these two horses. I think he would probably be sorry to see them go!

This one is for my nephew Max, who is currently infatuated with all things trains. Don't worry Max, when you visit sometime we will spend much time touring the city in these trams....
