Viking XPRS coming to Helsinki

If you look back on my photostream to about three weeks ago, you’ll see a photo I took on 20th June 2021 of the 9 foot wingspan model Hurricane on its pylon at the Portcullis Club on RAF Kenley. I did slightly tweak that image, mainly just cropping it, but it’s still ‘reality’, it’s what we actually saw. This version of the image, on the other hand, is what I saw in my mind’s eye, and I wanted to create as far as my technique would allow a photo that might have been taken there in the summer of 1940 at the height of the Battle of Britain. With the pylon air-brushed out there is little to suggest this is other than a full size aircraft, on its approach after completing its mission. (Unfortunately I couldn’t do you an authentic prop blur.)

SCHIPHOL… Plane delayed for one hour, due to heavy snow and frost back home, they had to de-ice everything...
I'd already passed all the checks and controls, so, just the looooooong terminal H, a 'tunnel' divided by a glass wall, on the one side arrivals, my side the departures.
People coming and going, going and coming.
It was the perfect moment to have fun some with my camera, photographers are NEVER bored??? LOLOLOL.

Project 365, 2022 Edition: Day 342/365
The feature I love least about our home is the kitchen sink. Now the tap is broken. The landlord is coming to take a look. Hopefully he will see the necessity to replace the whole rotten counter, but I'm not optimistic.
Update at 5:48 pm: Thanks largely to our neighbour from the next unit, who offered to help (inexpensively) the landlord with the repair, and who doesn't take s*** from anyone, we have a brand new countertop. Now he's installing the old sink with a new faucet.

For Going Abstract with Kim Manley Ort
I captured this right after I took pics of the alligator. I was in a Florida State Park yesterday and I guess I was already thinking about the course beginning today. There's something about abstracts in general that gives me butterflies of excitement. I was drawn to this because of the light coming through, the patterns and the strong diagonal lines, which give the image energy and direction. The texture is highlighted too by the light. And then there is also shadow on the edges, just like in life. I feel strength from this image but some mystery too, as if there is more to it than meets the eye.
