I believe this succulent plant is called a "felt bush" although unlike a bush it is growing within a large plant pot. A few weeks ago my wife thought it was dying but we decided to hold back removing it, and thankfully we did as it has flourished!

A fern is a member of a group of roughly 12,000 species of vascular plants that reproduce via spores and have neither seeds nor flowers. They differ from mosses by being vascular (i.e. having water-conducting vessels). They have stems and leaves, like other vascular plants. Most ferns have what are called fiddleheads that expand into fronds, which are each delicately divided
This image is from my trip to the Cape in November last year. It had been a dream of mine to visit the one of the penguin colonies, and was totally blown away by these cute little guys... A species which is sadly listed as vulnerable, mainly due to competition with man for food.
I took this image of the Shrine in Melbourne some three years ago. The image of the soldiers downloaded from the internet and unfortunately I cannot acknowledge the original photographer (as I should). I remember being very moved at the time and wanted to dedicate something to all the young men and women who have fought and in many cases died in some of the horrific wars that for great chunks of time, have almost ripped our planet apart.

Car ferries going back and forth from Portsmouth England to the Isle of Wight on a beautiful calm summers day
When its foggy out i like to walk to this tree in a field a few blocks from my house. Brought the camera and the fog lifted shortly after getting there....but the cloud haze was still very nice. Single exposure photo, flipping the camera mid exposure on tripod with hand over the lens in a haphazard way.....much time taken to get this perfect alignment.....looks like reflections but its really just another moment in time captured in the same frame of continual exposure.....no photo editing tricks......i aint got time for that. First half of the exposure i caught a car Coming in one direction in the road beyond....then after flipping it caught a car Going somewhere else. (This is a very lightly traveled road so i got lucky with that happening) Good times and now I have entered a foggy state of mind. A little Glenmorangie neat and a Natty ice on the side. Cheers. In Varanasi (Benaras) there is a temple between Scindia ghat and Manikarnika ghat which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
This temple doesn’t look like any other in the city because of its amazing sculptures with angels which are all around the shrine.
Those angels are musicians and they all play a different instrument.
Each time I come, there is no one, then I am alone in this dreamy atmosphere.
I know it is a kind of gate to after death as just nearby funeral pyres burn day and night at the cremation ghat which is underneath.
However this is not the reason why there are angels here.
I became close to the priest and his family who are keeping this sanctuary, sometimes he is making a puja for me and each time we meet he applies a refreshing ointment on my forehead made of eucalyptus and turmeric...

This little boat was coming into Cowes in the Isle of Wight. The fishermen were gutting their catch and the gulls were going crazy.
I really enjoyed shooting these art-ful skateboards at Zumiez skate shop in Loveland, Colorado, for a Flickr Friday theme! Obviously, I had to choose just one for the challenge, but here are a few more of my favs!

At 16 i came out to my mother who immediately disowned me causing me to stay silent about it ever again..called confused and just young and in a phase...i tucked away my heart for so long after that...Here i am 15 years later and I came out to everyone and ive never felt so alive and so myself. I am bisexual and I am proud of me. Love is Love no matter gender or sexuality choices.
