Hot air balloon coming down near Jackson Wyoming. It was a fantastic ride and I was amazed at how incredibly quiet it was while up in the air.
I had one quick chance to snap a picture of the red necked grebe eggs. Looks like three healthy shells. Time will tell

Around one month ago I've been contacted and invited in. These kind of things seriously make me melt and I couldn't be more excited :O!
I wanted to take part in it way earlier but due to my RL vacation and some other matters I'm only starting now. So a big, HUGE thankies to all my followers, sponsors and supporters - as well as the super cute Keely for helping me out in the process. (check out her pics, her work is awesome!)

This is a portrait I took of one of the family six cygnets I have been watching since they hatched. A beautiful bird..
A clean SD70ACe brings a heavy coal train into Granby, Colorado. Granby sits close to 8,000 feet in elevation.

An departure from my usual style, perhaps, but I am really pleased with how this one turned out. The exposure was a challenge, to say the least, as this was shot almost directly into the sun. Needed quite a bit of processing to get the cars to stand out, and to make the small figures on the rocks and roadside visible. I will be interested to see the reaction to this one.
Yep, you guessed it! Now I'm having problems with painting the stubble, any tips that might help? (I already tried using a toothpick) Let me know!

I just purchased the Brahms recordings done by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. They are marvelous!
Sometimes when I listen to this, I feel I am listening to the influences of Beethoven.
Another recording here for example:
Double exposure of mannequin head with scarf and kitchen table played with a few filters before deciding to use 75 percent of one.
