Hi, I'm Vaughn. I received a notice in the mail about my Beetle.

Oh, yes, thank you for coming down. You can just leave the keys with me and we'll handle the rest.

Pardon? Why would I leave my keys?

Well, this is a recall. We're recalling the Volkswagen Beetle.

Eh... I hadn't heard of anything with the newer Beetles, but mine is a '67.

Oh, right, we're recalling all of them.

You're recalling all the Volkswagen Beetles? What does that mean??

Every Beetle ever made.

Why??

Road functions.

Road functions?? What does that mean? Do you know how many Beetles are out there?

Over 20 million.

Are you compensating people for turning in their Beetles??

Of course we couldn't do that. There are too many. Your keys please. Make this easy.

And at that moment Vaughn awoke in a sweat! He ran to his garage and hugged his Beetle, weeping great tears of joy.

as the sun sets in portixol, a seaside district of palma de mallorca, kayaks glide towards the harbor, their journey ending with the day. the photo titled "coming home" captures the essence of return, as the golden sunset caresses the mediterranean sea, welcoming the travelers back to the tranquility of shore.

We share a common property garden with our neighbours; it's always a friendly competition to see who gets to snack on the blueberries first. You snooze, you lose. *wink*

SO here's some sun.. Taken in Zakynthos, Greece.. Here I used a different editing technique from my last photo to try and get the mood set. Think it may be tad dark but please

do let me know your thoughts.

Sunrise behind frozen branches on one of the year's darkest days five days ago. Today it is the darkest one, on winter solstice, and it will be lovely with later sunsets and brighter days ahead.

After passing spring equinox yesterday, we know that spring is truly here ♡

This is from spring last year. While photographing a bluethroat (blåstrupe in Norwegian) among the fresh birch leaves in the mountains, this mountain hare (Lepus timidus) suddenly appeared on the same spot. Fun!

Omg it's Katniss! NOT. it's idk yet. I'm doing a hunger games based video, but i need your guy's help. I'm deciding whether to do a parody, or traditional. If you guys choose traditional, it won't be exactly like the move/book. BTW aren't my editing skills so good? it looks like she's really wearing the mockingjay! (sarcasm) AND SORRY FOR THE QUALITY.

It's almost done, and yes that is real steam coming from his jaws.

See you all at Brick Rodeo and Brickfair VA!

This week I went out for a pre-rain shoot with dramatic clouds. I was lucky on this field of wheat. In the background you can spot a few characteristic elements of the Deventer skyline (Bolwerksmolen, Lebuinuskerk & Wilhelminabrug).

Enjoy!

White-fronted Bee-eaters

Photographed near the bridge over the Sabie river - close to Skukuza, Kruger National Park, South Africa

It is kind of relatively "easy" to capture birds when taking off, but not so simple when the are coming in to land. For that, you need Gerda to tell you when they are coming in, and then you start shooting! So, all credit to Gerda for assisting with this, and thanks to Eraine who was in desperate need of the nearest rest camp for hanging in there while I had a few more and a few more attempts!
