Looking back at the interior of Ypsilanti State Hospital from 2005.
The property has just been demolished to become a parking lot for a Toyota complex.
paramedics were standing by, so said the announcer outside. come see gravity being defied.
With a population not much over a thousand people Fintona hosts a car show every year that draws about four times its population over a two day period. a showcase of all things motoring that are designed to go fast but don't. cars with jet engines attached, polishing products being sold etc. basically it seems like capitalism descends on an enclosed area - like a flu if you will - and runs its course pulling as much money as it can from the car lovin punters.
Rural, youth, car obsession, male dominated, going fast, gaining status. getting laid? it is de rigueur in these parts.
It is an awfully expensive thing though. Maybe, that's the invisible scaffolding.
One never knows what one will see on Kilimanjaro Safaris. One of the baby elephants tries to coax another into the pool. "Since it's raining, you're already wet," it says.
"slide on next to me
i'm just a human being
i will take the blame
but just the same
this is not me
you see
believe
i'm better than this"

Secret Cinema presents The Harder They Come @ The Coronet Theatre, London, 20th June 2009.
My Come Back Veronique arrived today. The first Veronique from the new sculpt wanted to pose with the last Vero of the old sculpt: the Body Double Veronique. I have repainted and rerooted my BD Vero, though. Siama already picked up the blond bombshell, but I did keep the delicious lingerie for myself.
Chinstrap penguin parade on an iceberg in the Southern Ocean. The rightmost penguin is now telling its buddies to move along.
We took these photos from the cruise ship.

She followed this poor cat all the way across the park. Strangely, the cat didn't just run off, so I guess it was a mutual thing.
If I keep holding out
Will the light shine through?
Under this broken roof
It's only rain that I feel
I've been wishin' out the days
Come back
I have been planning out
All that I'd say to you
Since you slipped away
Know that I still remain true
I've been wishin' out the days
Please say that if you hadn't have gone now
I wouldn't have lost you another way
From wherever you are
Come back
And these days, they linger on, yeah, yeah
And in the night, I've been waiting for
A real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
I go to sleep
If I don't fall apart
Will my memory stay clear?
So you had to go
And I had to remain here
But the strangest thing to date
So far away and yet you feel so close
I'm not going to question it any other way
It must be an open door for you
To come back
And the days they linger on, yeah
Every night I'm waiting for
The real possibility that I may need to end my pain
Sometimes you're there and you're talking back to me
Come the morning I could swear you're next to me
And it's ok, It's ok, it's ok
I'll be here, Come back, come back

This is my last photo from our modeling shoot with this gorgeous duck. This is that, Come Hither look that most models can't pull off, but this duck did it fantastically. What do you think? Watch out Tyra Banks (yeah, I couldn't think of any other models right off the top of my head).
This doorframe and wooden door were behind an art gallery in Ballground, GA.
The little seating area in the shade looked welcoming.
The sky just went black and the thunder's shaking the house non-stop. Glad I didn't stick around at the café because that would've been one wretched walk home.
eta: just as I was posting this, the sky opened up and we're being slammed by all kinds of hail and a deluge. We were standing in the doorway watching and shrieking and saw a bolt of lightning hit the middle of the street 50 feet from us. Scary stuff for us temperately-climated Bay Areams.
