It's tradition around here. November 1st hits and the halloween comes down and the christmas goes up...outside anyways. I think it comes from the fact that growing up my dad would always insist on hanging Christmas lights close to December and around here that's just too frickin' cold for me.
Add to that the fact that when a Holiday's over, it's over for me. I have no idea why. Someone once told me that it was because I get too excited to early and I tire of the decorations and music. I tested that theory out one year...nope. It doesn't matter whether the tree's go up November 1st or December1st, come December 27th I'm itching to take them down...however tradition indicates that they come down January 1st
I always wear my Santa Hat when I set up the yard display...tradition...so it's worked out quite well today since the Hereios are wearing hats today!
p.s. Although the display is set up, it doesn't get turned on until after Rememberance Day...unless of course there's a gigantic dumping of snow before then...what can I say...it's tradition! ;)

She followed this poor cat all the way across the park. Strangely, the cat didn't just run off, so I guess it was a mutual thing.

This is my last photo from our modeling shoot with this gorgeous duck. This is that, Come Hither look that most models can't pull off, but this duck did it fantastically. What do you think? Watch out Tyra Banks (yeah, I couldn't think of any other models right off the top of my head).
