Mirror-like high tide at dawn, summer solstice

Here is the sign for the Jazz festival at Hart Plaza. This year, the festival stretched from Hart Plaza to Campus Martius

I gave this to my sister as a permanent invitation to come visit me in Corpus Christi.

Im sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea

Ive got to be free, free to face the life thats ahead of me

On board, Im the captain, so climb aboard

Well search for tomorrow on every shore

And Ill try, oh lord, Ill try to carry on

I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory

Some happy, some sad

I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had

We live happily forever, so the story goes

But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold

But well try best that we can to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above my head

They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said

They said come sail away, come sail away

Come sail away with me

Come sail away, come sail away

Come sail away with me

I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise

They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies

Singing come sail away, come sail away

Come sail away with me

Come sail away, come sail away

Come sail away with me

Comes The Dawn

Author: Veronica A. Shoffstall

After a while you learn the subtle difference

Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,

And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning

And company doesn’t mean security,

And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts

And presents aren’t promises,

And you begin to accept your defeats

With your head up and your eyes open

With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,

And you learn to build all your roads on today,

Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans,

And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.

After a while you learn

That even sunshine burns if you get too much.

So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,

Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure...

That you really are strong,

And you really do have worth.

And you learn and learn...

With every goodbye you learn.

"Davvero ci sono momenti in cui l'onnipresente e logica rete delle sequenze causali si arrende, colta di sorpresa dalla vita, e scende in platea, mescolandosi tra il pubblico, per lasciare che sul palco, sotto le luci della libertà vertiginosa e improvvisa, una mano invisibile peschi nell'infinito grembo del possibile e tra milioni di cose, una sola ne lasci accadere."

See You Soon

They come from no where.

I am going to invest in some predatory mites, but it might be too late for this guy.

I think this alstroemeria is looking for a honey bee. Not a chance around here!

There is a bumble bee trying to land on the flower.

Introducing: my brother & myself

A little reminiscent of the Chucky movies. They look at you funny and reach out to grab you as you walk by them.
