"Ohh Christmas Lights,
Light up the streets.
Light up the fireworks in me.
May all your troubles soon be gone.
Those Christmas Lights keep shining on."
Tantissimi auguri di Buon Natale (e anche di Buon Anno) a tutti!!!!
Auguroni!!! ^_^
Christmas Palace is a place in Amsterdam where there's always Christmastime. You can buy Christmas related goodies or presents there. It's in the Singel opposite the flower market a.k.a. the bloemenmarkt (which roofs can be seen in the shot). It worths to see it: it's such a fun place. There's always a sign which indicates how many days left until Christmas. When I was there this year that was 119.

For the first time ever, I decided to hang some christmas lights on the house. Just the porch - the rest of the house would require some serious ambition (and a ladder) :)
I wanted an angle of what it would look like if you were walking down the street... :D
Here's my little Winter Wonderland with the Kleenex boxes, other little houses, and empty packaging from the mini LaLaLoopsies (so glad I didn't throw them away, I knew they would come in handy some day! lol) plus some multi-color twinkle lights. Will be posting more pix of this over the next few days...
"Running from 20 November - 4 January, Edinburgh’s Christmas offers no shortage of things to see and do this winter. Enjoy panoramic views of the capital from the top of the Big Wheel, spin around on the charming carousel in East Princes Street Gardens or brave a twirl on the 60-metre-high Star Flyer, in St Andrew Square."

Noel is not for everybody but some are trying to make the best of it despite the challenges.
A Christmas Tree is a decorated tree, usually an evergreen conifer such as spruce, pine or fir, traditionally associated with the celebration of Christmas.
Christmas ornaments are decorations (usually made of glass, metal, wood or ceramics) that are used to festoon a Christmas tree. Ornaments take many different forms, from a simple round ball to highly artistic designs. Ornaments are almost always reused year after year, rather than purchased annually, and family collections often contain a combination of commercially produced ornaments and decorations created by family members. Such collections are often passed on and augmented from generation to generation.

Our local Christmas tree lot is tended by this guy from northern Wisconsin. Since he sleeps in the camper at the back of the lot, he jokes about his "urban camping" experience. If you're looking for a good tree, he seems to have a nice selection. You'll find the lot on the east side of the 1900 block of North Halsted Street. He asked me to e-mail these photos to his Mom back home, so she could see he was alright.

We got crafty over the weekend, and I made this card for setting in front of a candle. It resides on our tile oven. Cozy!
