Seen in Brooklyn, New York

After I'd seen it driving around Cromer, luckily I saw it in the car park. Three child seats across the back, this one obviously works hard for living!

The second generation, V20 series Camry went on sale during August 1986 in Japan. As with the previous series, there was again a parallel Vista model for the home market that Toyota released simultaneously. V20 Camry and Vista sedans continued with the four-door sedan configuration. For overseas markets, Toyota issued a station wagon for the first time. The Vista also launched with a four-door pillared hardtop sedan with unique body panels all-round in lieu of the liftback offered with the previous car—a body extended to the Camry in August 1988. To attain a sportier appearance with lower and wider proportions, Toyota reduced the height of the hardtop by 25 millimeters (1 in) over the sedan. Not intended for export, this hardtop body with few changes would later form the basis of the upscale but hastily conceived Lexus ES 250 sold in North America from 1989 through to 1991. Toyota rushed the ES 250 as a stopgap measure to flesh out the fledgling Lexus lineup so not to launch the flagship LS 400 as a stand-alone model.

Plenty of SV21s still around but most seem to be four cylinder models, the V6 is a rarer sight.

Left of shot southbound, right of shot northbound, refinery at Mina Abdullah in the right background.

It looks like he was southbound and got hit by something on his right rear fender that sent him sideways into the crash barrier, and through it. Lucky the light pole stopped him, otherwise he would have gone right through the other crash barrier and into the northbound traffic - much worse than hitting a light pole. The pole is still vertical, it's the wideangle lens making it look on a slant.

This anonymous looking diecast saloon by Tian Du is I believe based on a Toyota Camry though i'm not 100% certain of this. Being a product of Tian Du it is unlicensed but does have some nice detailing such as an interior, and painted lights and grille. Part of a 24 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

My 1999 Toyota Camry XLE V6

After 16 memorable years and 87,000 miles, she's finally going away. When I first got her in April 1999, I swore she had a face prettier than any of my Hollywood crushes combined. She also served as my bed, my lunchroom, my office and my traveling companion. She was my ultimate home away from home. I will never forget those long trips we had together to San Francisco, Sacramento and Las Vegas, including that mountainous, winding excursion to Coe State Park and the poppy fields in Antelope Valley. That hour-long commute from Silverlake to Culver City.

She rivaled my sister's 1996 Honda Accord, which was stolen then recovered twice in the streets of Oakland.

She was once America's favorite car during her heyday...only to be the car most likely to end up in junkyards across the country : (

Farewell Sweet Camry, you will be sorely missed : (

17's back on it after the recent trackday in my Sport. I had to cut the ends of the front springs which had broken, so they didn't gouge the tyres when I move it round.

After being skimmed on the brake lathe. Car had stood for some months before I bought it and the discs just would not clean up in normal use, yet they had plenty of thickness. Camry discs aren't cheap, so this was a good solution (fronts were done too, and new OEM pads fitted all round).

Toyota Camry we had as a rental car when looking for an apartment in Portland. Taken near Oceanside, Oregon

One of the most sold cars in the States but not officially imported in Europe: the Toyota Camry. So this car is very seldom in Europe. In Japan there is also a Daihatsu badged version of the Camry called Altis.

Gauges

Almost 155k still running Great!

Still a very common sight in Dubai, where all shapes of Camry from XV10 onwards are very popular.

Here's a question - did we ever get the estate version of these in the UK? I can't recall ever seeing any over here.
