Much better viewed LARGE.
Another classic case of chasing sunsets. After driving along the breathtaking Route 1 this was taken from a roadside pullout around Big sur. I believe this is the Point Sur lighthouse if im not mistaken.

On a short hike towards the Hollywood Sign exists this picturesque sight - Griffith Observatory in the foreground with Downtown Los Angeles in the back.
Taken at Cavallo Point on the Marin Side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Also got some nice, dramatic, and overall weird clouds hovering over the city.
I love death valley. It is amazing ..especially if you are a photographer. This was taken at the badwater basin..and the white stuff u see here is salt. This basin is officially the lowest point in North America at 282ft below sea level.
Also used Lightroom for the RAW conversion for the first time...love that s/w....sweet.

One from my archives - just a very cool foggy sunrise at Huntington State Park. After shooting on this morning, me and my brother and sister then spent the morning walking along the beach and pier. Very good memories!

Urban Light, Los Angeles. I shot this during the day and while there were many people present, it was nothing like early evening. This spot was buzzing.
Welcome to Alcatraz!!
This shot does not give you the concept of how small and primitive the cells were and most men could extend their arms and touch each wall within their cell.
Each cell typically measured 9 feet (2.7 m) by 5 feet (1.5 m) and 7 feet (2.1 m) high with a small sink with cold running water, small sleeping bed, and a toilet. The cells in D Block (segregation) were more spacious, but still the least popular.
Alcatraz Island is located in San Francisco Bay, 1.25 miles offshore from San Francisco, California and was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison, and a federal prison from 1934 until 21 March 1963.
Back to the West Wing for a moment.
A peek through the trees during sunset over DTLA from the views in Elysian Park, Los Angeles.
Landed in San Francisco on Saturday the 23rd. Got the rental car after waiting in line for 2 hrs . I guess Budget is too busy during the holidays cos they are cheap...either way ..it cost me the sunset...raced to catch the sunset over the Golden Gate bridge...was a little late getting there. I think looking back ..that has been the story of the trip..chasing sunsets and sunrises.
This is one of the shots i took when i got there. Taken from the Crissy Fields area in SF.

Back in SF for the last couple of days. After taking the usual 'must take' shots of the golden gate bridge, hung out in the city. This is another one of the postcard shots of SF..the row of Victorian houses at Alamo Square also called 'The Painted Ladies' or 'Postcard Row'. Wanted to get here earlier to catch the magic light but was late as usual.
One thing i did learn was that parallel parking on these steep streets is a royal pain in the ass.
