A wide angle shot of Downtown LA and the surrounding area at blue hour. This is another shot I took while on the peaks at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area.

While the building in the background is now a California Dreaming, it was once Columbia, SC's Union Station for the Southern Railway and Atlantic Coast Line. And the train passing the station was, of sorts, a passenger train, actually one of two trains that traveled America tht broughnt the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus to town. The first part of the train housed the animals followed by the performers and crews. Lead locommotie CSXT 7554 was a GE C40-8 built for the railroad in 1989.

A vibrant view of Hollywood at sunset, with colorful street lights and palm trees framing the iconic LA skyline. The hustle and bustle of traffic under the glowing skies makes for a classic California scene

The NS brings 94Z and its load of ballast through Columbia destined for deposit on the Southern’s R Line south of Columbia. Here it passes the former Union Station, which is now the California Dreaming restaurant.

All the leaves are brown and the sky is gray.

SUESTAR California Dreaming shooting.... 2017-05-22

we are in the middle of a cold snap here in Ontario - I was outside putting out the bird seed, when I glanced over at my garden shed and saw this - and the Momma's and Poppas song California Dreaming popped into my mind - I've been singing it all day :-)

I am seriously overwhelmed with gratitude for all the help/advice/support you guys have been giving me since last night through your messages and comments (I've now made the photo private). THANK YOU. The support means so much to me and all of your kind words have given me more confidence about doing this. I'll keep you updated if she chooses to hire me for the shoot! :) I am so thankful to have my flickr buds behind me on this with all the encouragement. It means a lot! <3

And the sky is grey (and the sky is grey)

The leaves were certainly brown, but the sky was far from grey!

I’ve always liked this song, though I think our perception of new places can quickly change from being unfamiliar to feeling quite at home, even during the course of a week.

One thing that’s helped me on this trip is that I have been a bit more successful with the language, my accent must be improving since everyone spoke back to me in Polish!

Rancho Palos Verdes, California

A perfect California day on the legendary Highway 1 — endless blue skies above, the Pacific shimmering below, and rolling coastal hills leading the eye toward the distant Point Sur Lighthouse. A place where history, rugged beauty, and the open road meet in harmony.

Hearst Castle is a National Historic Landmark and California Historical Landmark mansion located on the Central Coast of California, United States. It was designed by architect Julia Morgan, between 1919 and 1947, as a residence for newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, who died in 1951. In 1954 it became a California State Park. (wiki)

On a cloudy morning in Santa Cruz, behold, Natural Bridges State Beach...

It's a Small World. Nobody in our boat, nobody anywhere on the ride, so made good use of flash. Best pictures yet of this ride.

The playground at Santa Monica Beach with the Pier in the background. I just love the peachy skies with those blue tones. too bad sunsets are so fleeting. It's really nice to enjoy and share with you. Hope you've been doing well.

An ode to California Dreaming by the Mama's and the Papa's, although this was in Michigan, haha.

Taken along the Pier at Santa Monica while a young'un was taking in the sunset. It truly is beautiful and wonderful experience to share with a curious child. I loved the expression on the face and the golden silhouette. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
