I've been using this old school lunchbox since i started hooded deer merch, but tonight i customizzzzzed it!

i've been putting together button sets and making clay snail packages for the website MY MY. i'm excited to have my stuff on their site soon! :)

I think this is my favorite of the ones I've made so far. . .

The two deer in the foreground are young bucks, often called 'button bucks'. Born this past spring, just buttons are visible where their antlers will be. The next generation of Cross Timber bucks is on the way.

I have my finger on the button.

This 1 5/8" wooden button with burned-in filigree pattern is made in Italy. Groove to “Knock on Wood” (by E. Floyd & S. Croppe ), and sung by the soul great Otis Redding. These would look right-on with a brown corduroy jacket, a Paul Butterfield Blues Band tee- shirt, and bell-bottom jeans. “It's like thunder and lightning, The way you love me is frightening, You better knock, knock on wood, baby”

The Dorset Button Rapper side performing on the Village Stage at Shrewsbury Folk Festival 2009. They have the traditional two colourfully dressed "extras", the "Tommy" and "Betty" whose roles are as old as the dance tradition, and also insert themselves into the dance at the risk of decapitation! The Tommy's role is to introduce the dance and dancers, and keep up a running amusing commentary. The Betty is there to complement the Tommy's role, and traditionally to pass round the hat for the collection.

I like how the round red button sets off against the B&W pattern of the coat.

Brought home the family button tin when we cleared Mum's house last year. Mr'icks wanted a button so I opened up the treasure trove, then spent ages looking at the buttons. Amazing how small circular bits of plastic and metal can bring back memories. Most of these buttons were used as tokens when we played the Little Grey Rabbit card game.
