I have nowhere near Becky's amazing repertoire of buttons, but being as it's Sunday, and being as I happened to get me one button (the large one in the middle) for Christmas from Stickabutter, and the three others from Marika in a fabulous surprise package this week, I thought I'd hoard up my collection and present it today, on Button Sunday.
I wanted to take a bokeh of buttons but my macro lens is a bit limiting. I have to zoom past the adapter and then I have to have the camera really close to the subject so its hard to get any background.
Any suggestions on how to get bokeh in pictures without my macro lens or do I need a more advanced camera?
This wonderful and quite large button was made for a coat or heavy outer garment. It shows a stylised acorn made from Bakelite and brass, with a brass rope trim border on a brown Bakelite back. This is an exceptional button to me.
I used this pattern from mamachee on Etsy to make these booties.

We had a fun day of making and making and making button rings (these are only a few of them). We even got some friends involved and got to spread the crafting joy!

This is Charlie, my normal wild type male Button Quail. These may or may not be "his" eggs, but he sure is being tender with them!
I saw some pretty button fairies on flickr and thought I'd have a go at making one, this is my first attempt I trimmed her up a bit after this photo, and have now sent her to a friend as a gift.
