Bush的2006年大计

Love this yellow time of year in the bush.

This is my new diorama project - a park. I've always envied the vast greeneries of my friend Marika and as a birthday present my spouse Juhana bought me a pile of materials and build me two trees from twigs we gathered from the neighbouring forest floor. The tree trunk of the bigger tree was actually a souvenir he brought to me from his hiking trip in Greece. It has a wonderful ancient look to it.

I put the leaves on myself and now all I need is to spread out the grass and find so nice park backdrops. I'm also working on a park bench.

George Walker Bush (born July 6, 1946) is an American politician and businessman who served as the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009, and the 46th Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000.

Me and my friend sent a birthday present to Kate Bush. We were pleasantly surprised when we received a thank you letter a month later.

Constructed as Perry Stadium in 1931, this ballpark was renamed Victory Field in 1942. In 1967, it was renamed Bush Stadium, in honor of veteran Indianapolis baseball player "Donie" Bush.

In its many years of operation, the stadium served primarily as the home field of the minor league Indianapolis Indians—though several other teams used the field as well (notably the Negro American League's Indianapolis Clowns, who are arguably best-known for serving as Hank Aaron's springboard to the major leagues).

The movie Eight Men Out was partially filmed here in 1987. Following the Indians' departure in 1996 for a new stadium downtown, Bush was used for several years as a track for midget auto racing.

Since 2000, the stadium has been used for not much of anything. Indiana Landmarks currently has it listed as one of the state's 10 most endangered historic properties.

About 3 miles' drive north of Bush Head Ranch are some ruined buildings and fences around a catchment basin called Bush Head Tank. Above the pond is an amphitheater of brainrocks like those at The Wave, but orange in color. Another outcrop I call the "Scrambled Eggs" is about half a mile walk NNE.

The tank was built by Charles G. Cram around 1928. Later residents built a couple of cabins. The property changed hands up through 1940; last mention in county records is about 1959. Now abandoned, the shacks and fences are in bad shape. (If you visit, remember that removing artifacts is illegal.)

From here, you can hike about a mile to a spectacular overlook of Paria Canyon. I doubt many people ever get out this way, but I did see some footprints to the overlook.

I’m posting photos today of three different lupines I found in three different counties this spring. I visited the Marin Headlands, Marin County, on Mother's Day, and noticed lots of shrub lupines, since identified as Silver bush lupine. A project is underway in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area to preserve the federally endangered mission blue butterfly, and Lupinus albifrons plays a critical part. www.sfnps.org/download_product/2429/0

In 2011 it reopened as the new home of the Bush theatre which had been established in 1972 above the Bush Public House nearby. In 2017 the theatre again reopened after a expansion and refurbishment to the design of Haworth Tompkins Architects.

Stupid bush ate my frisbee.

This is what we're talking about.

A beer with plenty to say, and it's saying "beware!"

12%, full of flavour and punch, like being hit by a slice of lemon wrapped round a gold bar.

A beer for setting down and avoiding.

Really, is a stunning beer, and that alcohol content makes for a huge taste sensation.

Drank with strong blue cheese and crackers.

Perfect.

The first reach-out beyond Bush Ambrée for Dubuisson, making its appearance in 1991, the Bush de Noël (Scaldis Noël) is a warm Christmas beer intended to liven up the dark days of winter. Although this beer isn't easy to find, produced in only limited volumes, the Bush de Noël is considered by many as an international benchmark for Christmas beers.

Such 'holiday' beers tend to be malty, top-fermented beers with a substantial seasonal generosity, gifting the supper with their high alcohol content. Christmas beers are often dark or amber-coloured, and typically have herbs added to the brew.

However, the Bush de Noël keeps things a little simpler, leaving out any additional herbs. Instead it has a rich complex of malt, hops, candi-sugar and yeast – enough to balance out its weighty 12.0% ABV tag. During the production of this beer, the brewer will typically add hop bells (as part of its maturation), so as to make sure that the hops have their say.

The name of this beer is somewhat cleverer than it first seems, making for an amusing pun in French. That's because ‘Bûche de Noël’ is the name of the traditional Yule log, usually made of a thick butter cream enveloped in sponge cake. It's hugely popular during the Christmas period. And Bush de Noël certainly lives up to the rich, full flavour of its namesake.
